First time I ever heard 'Dead Man's Party' by Oingo Boingo I was driving a truck down Miramar Road in San Diego. I cranked up the volume all the way, grabbed the emergency brake, slid the truck sideways in the road, and jumped out to dance. When the song ended and I came back to earth, I realised there was a long queue of cars backed up in both directions, and the people all staring at me with their mouths hanging open. So I took a bow, hopped back in the truck, and drove away...

As a man getting older still with an open mind for new music, I am excited at this young talent, a musician who is not afraid to be different in these times of musical mediocrity.
Modern music is only mediocre to those who have stopped being interested enough to look for good music, as this artist demonstrates. I'm 50 and have never enjoyed new music more... We live in AMAZING musical times, amazing enough that I find the nostalgic music of my youth boring.
I don't know of I'd call these amazing musical times. There is some good stuff out there buried under a LOT of trash. I remember like the first time I put a Joni Mitchell record on the turntable, and that voice, the poetry. I sat down and cried. This lady is also something very special. Seems like there's less of them now, but they are out there tapping into music of the soul.

Alice, I'm an old man compared to you, so old I had been in Viet Nam only 2 month when Woodstock happened, but I've always enjoyed great music. You are a refreshing new talent with the amazing voice of an angel, your songs are so original, the strength of your voice and the amazing range is so hard to imagine coming from such a small body. A Star is BORN in you.
In my humble opinion it's the striking honesty about her own self and feelings put into songs that impresses me the most. When people only give her lyrics a chance; THEY HAVE TO BE TOUCHED:

dancedeern, if you can't find rhythm in Alice's music and video's then you may be lacking the whole beat them, her range of notes, musical ability, lyrics and performances is by far one of the best new young and innovating artist to come along in the past 40 years.
I total agree, been following her for the past few years and the experience just keeps getting better. Such a range of vocals from such a small person is remarkable, then add her life experience into her lyrics that hit the very soul of each of us is almost untouchable. My favorite new young artist in the past 40 years. Give us more, Alice.

Alice, I found you yesterday and quite literally watched this performance with my jaw on the floor. Your talent is insurmountable and I cannot wait to see how far your music takes you! I knew, the moment I found you, that I had to introduce your music to my eight year old daughter. She has had so many wonderful female influences in her life and we are always on the lookout for more. She watched this video with me and her eyes were so wide I feared they may fall out. She looked at me with the most beautiful smile and gave me an enthusiastic thumbs up and said, "We need to go see her in concert right away!"
I remember, before I had my daughter, I always heard people spill filth out of their mouths; "This is a horrible world to bring a child into, how dare anyone". I disagree. There are so many incredible souls with the freedom to speak from the heart and influence a new world. My daughter has so much to look forward to and so many empowered woman to guide her. Thank you for your music and your strength.

I found this video when they put my dog to her final sleep. Wasn't able to be in the same room, it hurt too much. Instead, I started trying to concentrate on something different, scrolled on TH-cam and eventually saw these small videos of Alice. Ever since, she's been my comfort singer, she helped me through so much, she will never know. Thank you
