Dude, you've been a legend to my best friend and I since we were kids. We're 26 now and I can't tell you how many dogs we've downed, peppers we've popped, and beers we skulled in your honor in an attempt to beat some sort of record. We never accomplished anything super impressive, but anytime our little brothers / cousins wanted to try and beat us, we tried our best to keep the legend alive. Thank you for the memories, bro.

There's one thing I've learned about the world of competitive eating so far. There's more to it than just striving to be champion. It goes further to be a great entertainer and to make people laugh at your food escapades than it is to always win. Kevin, your videos always have entertained and brought many great belly laughs throughout the years. That is much more respectable than being a channel that only shows how much you win.

Good to hear that you're still able to look back at the experience with fondness. Ive always known LA Beast was the greatest entertainer on TH-cam. But i had no idea he was this good at storytelling also. 34 minutes of storytelling took 6 minutes. This guy may have fallen short in competitive eating, but he stands among the greatest to ever TH-cam ❤
I can confirm that Badlands is indeed, a man of many hugs. I travelled to the Nathan's contest in 2019 from the UK and he greeted me in the spray zone (at some silly time in the morning, like 6am if I remember correctly) with the biggest hug of my entire life. The man is just so kind and approachable , it doesn't matter to him who you are. He's a natural "people person." And treats everyone with the same level of respect.

I’ve never followed the L.A. Beast because he’s the best in rankings, I’ve followed him because he’s real. He’s always seemed like an average guy who you’d be happy to bang back some beers with and not know that he’s one of the hardest working, humble, and motivated content creators on YT. He never brags too long about past victories, he just puts his head down and moves onward and upward. Huge respect for someone that motivated and dedicated to their craft who never lost touch with their roots. Might not be the best ranked but he’s the best personality out there and has always had the best creativity with his ideas

In September of 2021, after a long time comin, my wife asked me to move out. Next thing you know, there I was; 43 years old, my kids were all grown up, my wife was tired of the same ‘ol, and I was living in my car. It was at that time that I came across your videos on TH-cam. During the 11 months I was living in my car I watched your entire library of content and loved every minute of it😉. Eventually my wife asked me to move back in (she was having trouble with bills) and we are trying to work things out. Thank you LA Beast for being a positive spark in my life during a very dim time. He’s always seemed like an average guy who you’d be happy to bang back some beers with and not know that he’s one of the hardest working, humble, and motivated content creators on YT. He never brags too long about past victories, he just puts his head down and moves onward and upward. Huge respect for someone that motivated and dedicated to their craft who never lost touch with their roots. Might not be the best ranked but he’s the best personality out there and has always had the best creativity with his ideas

In September of 2021, after a long time comin, my wife asked me to move out. Next thing you know, there I was; 43 years old, my kids were all grown up, my wife was tired of the same ‘ol, and I was living in my car. It was at that time that I came across your videos on TH-cam. During the 11 months I was living in my car I watched your entire library of content and loved every minute of it😉.
Eventually my wife asked me to move back in (she was having trouble with bills) and we are trying to work things out. Thank you LA Beast for being a positive spark in my life during a very dim time. Great video man

I remember watching Takeru Kobayashi in the early 2000's doing a competitive eating contest on TV, thinking that there was no way this tiny little Japanese dude stood a chance against all those huge guys. How wrong I was.
I've watched the videos for about 7 years now and you never fail to put on a show man. Love the old videos of you driving. Gives me a nostalgia feeling even tho I wasn't there lol. Gotta love it
