Thanks, Olli, another interesting video. I was amazed by the high level of automation. On the bright side,
this is why China wouldn't have to worry about stagnating or even declining population. The Chinese
economy can continue to grow in the future.

@@user-ju9ux9pt8i This is again a very smart move by China. Having lifted over 800 million people out of
poverty, now moving on to bring the entire country to "moderate prosperity" is a very good development.
The population will probably stagnate by 1.5 billion and then reduce in the next couple of decades. A strong focus on AI, automation and infrastructure will help China to thrive and do well even with
slightly less people in an aging population.

@@XX-cm3mf Not necessarily, 100s of millions of Chinese came out of povery in recent years.
If they now will move on to moderate wealth as described by Pres. Xi the Chinese economy
will have enough potential to make up for the loss in population.

I remember being in one of the lost places in Germany and it was a old shoe manufacturer and they had dozens of workers and pictures laying around, it was a massive huge place. Projecting that on China with new Technology and you get a massive output on manufacturing those shoes. But cheap also means there might be more waste as in the past more people tend to repair their shoes. Shoe repair will die out but there are still handy crafters in the city which can help you.

In Malaysia, barechested workers sit on low stools, and hammer shoes by hands, and 4,000 pairs output per day is unimaginable because this is their monthly output capacity. I noticed many of the machines are stollen technology of Brother BAS programmable stitchers and Pfaff knock off post and flatbed machines. The CAM cutter is actually old technology used in the west for over 25 years. If you really want to see a nice factory, look at Italian shoe plants. Total work of art. Even the contractors for Zara shoes have even higher technology. But these low end plants are now using more technology to catch up, which explains why the unemployment rate in China at 20%.

What your mean "stollen technology"? They bought all those machines from foreign Companies, what's the problem? Also stop believe the bullshit made by western media, the unemployment rate is 5.1% in China. The epidemic has caused factories in many Southeast Asian countries to fail to operate normally, so Chinese factories have twice to three times or more orders than usual. Therefore, the factory needs more workers. Think about it, how can there be an unemployment rate of 20%.

Point being, this 'miracle' of ultra modern robotic manufacture is actually the industry norm already, competitive advantage is bought not through better technology or efficiency but cheap labour and poor working conditions.

When the president said BBB, I hope he did not mean bring back these kinds of factory back from China because it would bring even less workers back.
