5. Video game console (XBOX One or PS4)

So just wanted to add some input here, regarding inverters, if you are connecting to the 12v socket you are essentially limited to about 150watts of continuous power, so depending how many watts the inverter itself uses to function you shouldn't buy an inverter beyond like 300 watts because the cigarette lighter on most vehicles is restricted to usually a 15amp fuse. Unless your hooking it up directly to battery. Also I suggest getting a pure sine inverter to prolong the life of the devices your plugging into the inverter.

Fun fact... a PS3 is a 12v device. So is the Nintendo Wii. It uses a step down converter that also concerts the frequency Waves. If you open the PS3 console it's self you can connect it to the cars power if you have enough amps.
Thanks for mentioning the power inverter. I want to put either a 360 or a ps2 in the back of my mini cooper for parties. I've got a 220amp alternator and secondary battery that supports 3000 watts so I think I should be good on power lol.

Played Halo 1 all the way from Missouri to Indiana on my 360 on an LG computer monitor (HDMI to DVI adapter cable), no issues whatsoever. It was amazing. But this wasn't the 12 volt cable to 360 I was hoping to see.

All I need is inverter for car to plug the Xbox 360 power cord 🔌 into! Don't know which one to get for TV to ? Or powerstation that will run it for hrs at a time if need to????
There are 500w power stations that can run a while. Also, small TVs with HDMI input that are low power that can clip on the back of a headrest.

If you wanted to run a tv in your car as well would you have to use two power suppliers?
If it's like a 10" or smaller, probably not. If it's larger, gotta check the wattage. If you go with a 300w or higher inverter, you'd be safe for sure.

How long do you think you could play an Xbox 360 with the engine off before draining the battery enough to where it won't fire the starter?
I haven't tried, but at least 15 minutes would be ok.

In a minivan or SUV, you could stick it right under the seat. Even on 100 degree days, I can reach down there and it's cool. While vehicle is on, you could set the A/C vent to open for foot, and the air goes straight to the console.

Intec 150w. Still working, but moved up to the Bravo 400w.

Definitely not. The power supply on mine reads about 250w for ps4 and the xbox one

How did you get video on your nav screen? And is that safe to play games on that screen?
You can play when stopped if the car is stock. There's an AV mode.
For allowing AV mode when driving, there is a Video In Motion module that can be used to bypass it.

can u use an inverter for 220v? i looked it up on google and it said the wattage was 220w but i just want to make sure

@@EdwardInTX sadly it doesn’t work. It’s 220v but it shuts off the extension lead (not the inverter, that stays on). All I have is a monitor and an Xbox hooked into it. It worked fine when I tested it with my house power but not in the car

What if you don't have a power inverter
Somehow you'll need an adapter to transform the DC power from the car into AC, unless you have a car with a 110V AC port already.

I thought DC is related to car power plugs (one round plug), and AC related to house plugs (square, two prong plug). Gotta turn the power from that round plug into something for that 2/3 prong plug can plug into.

So just install and play games off the HD. Even if you need a disc to allow you to play an installed game, the disc isn’t continuously spinning I think.
If you can get the consoles modded(I believe Xbox doesn't need to be for games to be installed to hdd) you can buy a external USB drive and put all your games on there. I have a homebrew Wii and jailbroken PS3 in my car with backups running off a USB
I play my Xbox when eating McDonald's in ma car 1v1 using my hotspot on a tiny tv I won 2/30 trickshot last while eating mcdonalds kid was raging lol
