Sweet Review Bobo! I love how you incorporated b-roll shots of the bike, POV, follow cam, third person and drone work. Looked like a ton of time was spent on this video and it really shows.

I saw that initial climb and I said "Ridgeline". We are very lucky to have such gnarly trails so close to us. Dupont is where you and I 1st met and you were so excited that you almost had 1k subs. You had that beast of a bike I think it was called Big Bertha or something. I can't remember but one thing I do remember is how I admired your humility to be able to ride that monstrosity of a bike in public. Lol I hope you kept it as a keepsake though. It's where you started. Great review and great vid as always. Take care brotha.

hey man, maybe they werent being arrogant or 'better than' but perhaps they just misread your comment. It is generally accepted (although I guess opinion) there are no "gnarly" trails at dupont as you even admit you were talking about the western NC area. Or maybe deadgoats a jacka--. lol who knows, RIDE ON...when this weather clears up. @@Al-Gore-ithm

Worked at a bike shop in wnc and got to ride a little bit of everything as we had many rentals and knew lots of people and would always trade bikes. Gotta say coming from Enduro bikes, 29" short travel bikes are where it's at. Modern geo makes the shorter travel feel much deeper. Great video, Bobo

The updated TY Jeffsy is a winner I think. It is on my short list when I pick up a new trail bike maybe next year and the Core 4 is likely the spec I'd aim for. It is pretty spot on parts wise and I'd only replace the wheels because the CB Synthesis Alloy Enduro wheels hub engagement of 17 degree's is not for me. Right now it is between it and the updated Forbidden Druid V2. I think that the Jeffsy would be the slightly better all round bike (and cheaper), but I do like to race a few Enduro's where the Druid's high pivot design might have some benefits on the rowdy DH trails.
Short travel 29ers are the way to go. You can feel the trail, thanks to the short travel, yet roll over it easily, thanks to the wheels.
150mm is not a short travel at all 😂
Short travel is 80 to 120mm. This bike is an All-Mountain - a do it all mid-travel machine.
@Rikimaru047 yeah I have no idea where these goobers got the idea from that 150mm is short travel.
The YT bike brand makes some awesome looking bikes. I almost went with that brand before I got my Santa Cruz Hightower C. Both bikes have the same suspension travel.
I've been eyeballing the Core 4 or Core 5 Jeffsy for the last two months. They had a really amazing 20% Black Friday deal that I slept on with the bike in my cart. If/when it drops that low again, I'm pulling the trigger without hesitation.

Good review of ab xc bike Bobo. Now you need to get your xc bike on an xc trail…. Vancouver Island come to mind. 😬
You need to bring that bike out west to Fruita, CO and then to Moab and ride trails. We also have a DH park on the Grand Mesa (Powderhorn) and of course the Palisade plunge. You could really see what that things got over the course of a week or two and also get your legs in shape and maybe your lungs too :)

Nice bike 🚲 and sweet wall ride 🌈. I have the OG Jeffsy (with a few mods) and it’s still fast 💨 keeps up with enduro bikes and climbs nearly at xc pace ❤. Trail bikes are really really good 👍

I love dupont but, I really don't like the new ridgeline design. They are slowly removing more and more of the jumps and actually fun stuff.

I went from a fuel ex to a Jeffsey and was disappointed in the climbing in steep xc trails . I’m going to trade it out for an izzo and hope for the best
Love the look of death climbing to the top at Kanuga because I can relate and have been there. Never again will I ride there on an Amish bike. lol

Everything good, but why the hell are they keep putting only sram components on all their bikes except electric decoys with shimano motor, why don't they make shimano option of the same bikes so we can choose.

I’m about to pull the trigger but never had a YT. I’m 5’9 long torso short legs. I can’t decide on medium or large. I’m medium on just about most brands.

thanks for replying. i have the older gen jeffsy (2021) in florida and i had so much fun with it last summer visiting brevard. i was only able to do ridgeline and hooker with my son but can't wait to be back next summer. how was the climinb compared to the capra esp you are so used to the capra.@@BIKINGWITHBOBO

YT for the win. I’m on my 2nd decoy, I’ve had 2 Capras , still have 1 that is BIKE PARK SPECIFIC, had the IZZO for about 18 months for some truer XC down country riding. But just about 6 weeks and 4 rides into my latest 2023 Jeffsy core 2 build out.
Maybe the funnest, nimble Amish bike I’ve had.

Can someone please tell me where I can get the bottle cage for the jeffsy mk3 frame I got a core 1 and it didn't come with one and I cannot find a genuine one to buy anywhere. Or can someone recommend which one to buy that best fits the jeffsy mk3 frame, thank you

I guess that's what a full 29er is good for. Climbing and easy obstacle rolling, and sometimes both at the same time. It's a bridge too far for me. I don't mind a mullet, but a full 29 is just kinda goofy and boring. And climbing is absolutely nothing I strive to do well. Where's the shuttle?

Dupont looks AMAZING. Too bad I ride EMTB exclusively, looked on the state forest rules, no EBs of any class allowed anywhere. Shame and kinda comical, considering, literally nearly 90% of world(ya know, earth) allow class 1's. Would have loved to a take 3 day'r. Bummer.

Just be aware the core 1 is a big of a cow at 36lbs, to some lighter riders that’s probably noticeable
