The windpipe technique really works to stop the threat fast, not have a full fledged fight. I was able to defend myself with out having to cause unnecessary harm I used 2 actions and it was enough to stop his attack make it look like I knew what I was doing witch was very useful because I’m not a fighter I struggled with keeping calm enough to think it out quickly but he definitely got intimidated and didn’t want to proceed it really saved my butt because he was bigger and stronger than me I really didn’t want to fight. Your videos make a big difference and give people valuable information and confidence to not be a victim. What you do is important I truly respect you for it so thank you.
Then you end up locked up even when they strike first you may get locked up for defending yourself, best thing to do is avoid trouble and walking away but if you can’t make sure you don’t look like the bad guy in the fight and once you’ve neutralized the attacker stop do not I repeat do not stomp him out just stop the threat and remove yourself from the situation
These videos are great. Watch a bunch of different 1s and most are to learn different ways people do things . Everyone has their own advise. Most are poor and staged. Would not suggest using if you are unskilled. These are very easy for novice users and very effective for smaller less aggressive people. I love learning different techniques to dismantle a situation quickly and effectively. Great job my man!

Mark, your videos are full of great info. I've practiced traditional martial arts for years. I also have worked as a police officer for nearly 30 years. I've been in fights, responded too, and witnessed alot of confrontations. I'm so glad you alerted people to the distinction between a confrontation between two combatants and an assault from a criminal act. It may sound simp!e but training for those two types of conflicts require different considerations. More power to you. Keep educating people. And all respect to you sir.

Thank you for the helpful advice and tips they might come in handy since I am currently doing kickboxing. the first one to keep your chin tooked in and the second technique to make sure your knees are bent was pretty obvious to me (as majority of boxersdo it I believe) , especially as I got taught in my past boxing experience and now still in kickboxing is to always bend your knees ( I think I also got taught to bend my knees when in stance , because if my opponent is to try pushing me over they can't. I believe that as to do with me holding my body weight or something aswell) The third one to focus and concentrate on your opponents shoulders (bodÿ) is the one I will really consider taking into my kickboxing sessions as that will more than likely come in very handy and really useful. I have already subscribed to your channel and have been a subscriber for quite a long time now and it's well worth subscribing to your youtube channel for all the really great helpful, useful tips and hints I can implement into my fighting style and my kickboxing. I think your tips / hints will all come in handy. Not that I condone or tolerate violence / fighting and don't intend to get into any brawls, but if get into any fights in the future (to protect myself, my family , friends and anyone that's innocent) your hints and tips might hopefully come in very handy and useful, just like my kickboxing and all the techniques involved in that aswell 🥋🥊🥊. Awesome tips on how to deal life confrontational situations. Keep that chin down is very important and keeping your opponent from hitting you in the neck.
Never square up!! You should stand at an angle so that your power hand/leg is behind you as you stand. This way you limit the amount of punching area for your opponent and you keep yourself on balance and in a position to throw a punch or counterpunch with full power from your back hand or back leg. It also makes it less easier for someone to scoop you up with a double leg takedown.

That's why when you watch MMA 99% of the fighters never start a fight or attack initially from a squared up position. If you have the plumb on an opponent against a wall, cage or other flat and solid surface then it's OK to square up and attack but even then you have to watch for a trip, single or double leg takedown or a judo throw. There's a reason why you never see any fighter in MMA nor any Boxer in boxing square up as they're attacking their opponent.
Im an experienced street fighter, keeping your hands down can actually be beneficial if you have good spacial perception. I always have my hands down to move faster, only raising them when inside the opponents attack range. However i always tell inexperienced friends etc to always keep their hands up and protect themselves before any fight

Best novice video ever! Perfect advice! Advance to be able to read hips as well but shoulders first. A Real Artist that doesn't telegraph with his shoulders is going to hurt you. My instructor could kick to the head without moving his shoulders, I had to learn to read both. Painful lessons but I developed into his best defensive fighter

I've never been in many street fights but the few instances I've had to deal with I was shocked by the guys that would do what I call the "baseball referee fight" They walk into you space chest and chin forward and hands down. ...Sometimes there is a big divide between intent and ability. I really appreciated it, I just would like to point out that if you are not familiar with physical altercations prolly you will forget to apply any tip cause your brain will be turned off by a big adrenaline rush. So I’d like to ask if you can explain how to manage the fear and the emotional storm that takes place during a confrontation

Also if things are heating up don't wait, act more (first!) and react less. One single punch or kick might be all that's needed to reset your internal hard drive back to it's default factory setting.
I would only add to look into what state and federal laws suggest as to "being in a reasonably threatened" position to act first. Seems trivial and should be obvious, but many people view things surprisingly differently. Most are obvious situations, but others not so much, especially in a situation where you are already "wound up".
