I got a skillet!!!!!! I was up and ready lol!!! A exciting day! And a good video to watch on top of that!!!!
Love your Videos! Sorry just had to say it. 🙌
You spent a lot of time whacking it!!! 😂
Just wanted to let you know, what ever you’re doing is working because you have been at the top of my channel feed for three weeks now. Way to go!
I wish I could hire you to build us a cabin. My husband wants to hire you to cook :)
It just aint Sunday morning without Corporals Corner and his cooking.
Cooking some eggs now... maybe start a build this morning as well!
Thanks Shawn, you've taught us a lot... mainly... get out and do it!!
I love this start. To me this is what bushcraft building 101. This should be taught in schools and more importantly at home. But not everyone is born with badass parent that teach this. I also learned that you can build with notches and knots and don't need nails or screws. But they are time savers, not skill savers. Anyway, great to see you enjoying leftovers from Thanksgiving! One of my favorite meals! Keep on rocking! Keep maintaining you property security!
Kelly, you always present a system and idea that as a former Boy Scout Scoutmaster, I would have LOVED to have, to present to the Scouts. I always watch and save your ideas. Your mid-week videos are also important bits of information that is critical for survival.
I don't always comment but I never miss a video.
The code works and I have my hatchet on order. I was shocked that they already shipped it on Friday when I ordered it Wednesday. Looking forward to it.
I really like your show. I use to teach these skill to my scouts. Most was for ouy in the desert and the rest is in the Mountians. I wish you tell people to only do this on thier own land. In most forests you will be fined for this at lest in thewest coast and Ca. is the most extream. Keep going.
...back to the basics... building Taj majals in the bush!
Always fun to watch, and lots to learn from
Many projects are in the works. Forever forward.
I like builds like this, and splitting logs brings back memories of having to split rail for fences growing up. Another outstanding video, can't wait for next weeks and the mid week.
Cup of coffee and watching the Corporal teaching some skills. Always good.
I knew the midweek was gonna bring something interesting. Great video sir
Hello from Oklahoma! The Old River Rat here. Great video as always! Great effort as always. I won't go into much detail, but my Grandfather did a lot of work like this. He would try to find tree roots to make his wedges. He said the wood was denser and tougher. Something to think about. Thanks for all You Do! Brought back some good memories, albeit, tough days. God Bless!
mid week video was a good video learned a lot I'm a retired 52 year old navy vet messing around in my Michigan woods trying out a lot of this guys ideas love it lol thank you Sir for your dedication in your bush-crafting skills
Always great stuff. Thx.
If you flip the bottom 1/2 logs over so the flat side is up you will have a level floor. That may be more comfortable to sleep on.
Hello cpl Kelly from Peterborough United kingdom. The video dropped at around 14:58hrs
Saw both this video as well as the mid week one, I am getting notifications about all your videos. Looking forward to where this build goes. Keep up the good work
I always watch your Sunday videos and if I don't watch the mid week videos I'll still hit the like button on it.
I like these videos. No matter what your content is really good. I have learned so much.
Watching your video from an A-frame DD4X4 tarp shelter in the woods. Thanks for inspiring me to rediscover bushcraft.
Wow that sounds good. Are you camping?
Another Outstanding A.F video my friend
I really appreciate that you showed us a skill pretty much no one else does and then produce a shelter using that very skill in the same week.
Hey Shawn, that looks like a nice shelter. Looking forward to you finishing this trappers cabin. Thanks for your efforts and the new style of shelters. Great job!

Happy early morning.
Yet another great one, I do like that you are teaching the old school techniques for wood working, just shows people that there are many ways to achieve goals using what is around you.
Corporal showing us how it's done! Thanks for sharing!
That midweek video is a banger, DIY lumber is super useful in the woods.
Hope you & yours' had a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving good sir.
It's been a while since I watched a video of yours, everytime I come back to it though it's hard to stop watching. I wish I had the time and knowledge to get out and do this stuff. Thank you for getting out there and working your as off to entertain us....

“America is not a democracy. America has been and will continue to be a Constitutional Republic.”
Finding those 4 trees was a miracle. I watched the log splitting video was great. Can't wait to see the progression on this new build. Everything you do is educational. Have a great week.
That’s a cool engineering I’ve never seen before. Solid
Wow again new stuff, actually this is 1. time that I see Mr.Kelly to use nails in video wery nice.As forest technician I just recommend plastic wedges with teath s much better going in the wood, logs, sortiment s ,etc ❤❤ great job Mr. Kelly as always keep them video s coming
Serious bushcrafting. Very well done.
Dude is a monster bushcrafter.... and at his age more fit than a 25 year old.... he's gotta be in his 40s!
He's a kid in the forest building a fort with steel tools. It's nowhere near bushcrafting.
Good new build it would be fun to just take a hike around your area to see them all in person looking forward to seeing how the latest one shapes up
Lincoln log rail splittin'💪
I really like my Hardcore Survival hatchet. It does everything I need it to do. And for the record splitting wood with just a sledge, and a wedge.... That is a lot of work!!!
Thank you for another great video
It's crazy how much I learn with your videos.😂👍
The split board video was very informative, definitely looking forward to seeing that shelter developed.
Happy turkey/family gathering holiday! Hope you had a great holiday with your Son and new bride. I'm thankful for your channel. I started watching in 2020. It's given me so much! I am not nervous about Bush craft skills. And thank you so much for that, plus the humous stuff too👍👍❤️❤️this is why I keep watching!
Oh, look, it's ol' Torgo!
Corp putting in the damn work. Fantastic as always.
Outstanding!!!!
First, your hatchet/hammer is very expensive, but a good Vaughn or Estwing isn't exactly cheap either. Those who need them will find them worth every penny.
Second, in wet climates like that trees have a remarkable ability to repair themselves. Even after a lightning strike that knocks them over they will send up vertical branches and keep growing.
Lastly, using iron wedges is not cheating. If I was heading out to build a trappers cabin I woul definitely take tthe tools I needed. TBH I would probably have a cordless chainsaw. The effort required to do the work he did is ffar greater than anyone who has never split rails can know.
Thanks Corp.
Outstanding Corp and God Bless America 🇺🇸💪🇺🇸👍
Caught this one on time. Thanks again boss.
Hello from Detroit Michigan brother thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise and for taking us on your adventure through the woods and GOD-BLESS 😊
Good snowy morning with corporal; thanks as always for the video!
Love these kinds of videos, I always learn so much from watching you.
Hey CC, I got the hatchet yesterday as I have been waiting to see if there would be a Black Friday offering. I think it is a heck of an idea and a good buy. Thanks for your influence in making the deal so good. I receive multiple posting on all of your TH-cam programs and haven’t missed any over the last 2 years. Keep up the postings.
Fantabulous video, Corporal! Glad you had some turkey leftovers to replenish yourself after all of that hard work. Hope you and Mrs. Corporal had a wonderful Thanksgiving. 🦃🍂🥧🍁🪵🏕
It's good you're putting the tree's that were blown down to good use. Thanks again for the best videos
Nice start to an awesome build. I'm looking forward to more videos on this build. I'm sure it is going to look great once it is done. Outstanding AF!!

Brilliant as ever corporal. This is gonna be another epic build. The log splitting is so useful.
Top o' the mornin' Lad! Lol
Tee shirt weather I see? Not so in Taxachusetts!
You're right on time consumption. Heck, I spend several hours plus just stacking an overnight's worth of fire wood
Great video CPL. I appreciate your time and effort making this for us.

Lincoln Logs…Corporal Style!
Happy belated Thanksgiving Corporal! I really like how you incorporated your midweek videos into the Sunday videos, for me; really enforces the education. As always thank you for the hard work, dedication and being true to the mission. Semper Fi.
That must have taken a long time to split those logs lol. Outstanding AF.

That is usome my friend I am learning from you.
👍🙏🇺🇸👍🙏🇺🇸
Wow, that was some hard work! I'm looking forward to seeing the final result. Outstanding!
Thanks for the video and great information.
I would have put some grass or leaves on those poles for a more comfortable bed.
"Outstanding " good video, carry on
As the Corporal ties the other ridge line the Wind said "NO the tarp shall go this way."
Split rail logs and fences. You can still a few on the old 100 year+ homesteads around here. Pioneer days man. 👍👍👍
This video got me thinking about maybe you should do a mid week video on how to make an old fashioned log cabin corner joint, I remember going up on my family farm and our barn was the old log cabin my family built in the late 1700's early 1800's I never thought to take pictures of how the corners were done and it got torn down because the roof gave way because of snowstorms in the mid nineties, plus making wooden nails would be cool too
Foxfire Book 1. The easy notches hold water and rot, the hard ones spill water and don't. The cabins around now are the ones done right.
I think you should also offer “The Corporal’s Frozen Frog Legs” for those of us who are not physically able to use your frog gig.
Four trees spaced out almost perfectly in the woods: "You know you want to..."
Corporal: "Bet"
Another great video. Excellent build in the making.
Those cabins are a ton of work. Built one and it was days of hard labor. Nice job.
