It's really hard to find because I have to go to a certain place that only serves gelato!!! I use to get it around once or twice a month but due to the pandemic I haven't had it in over 4 months. Thank you for supplying the world with your lovely recipes and ideas. I haven't been bored at all. I even made your Special Birthday Cake Recipe for my Mam. I've made all your mug cakes, your 3 layer cake in a microwave( it was amazing btw) , your giant cinnamon roll, your chocolate chip scones and even your condensed milk. I just add pistachios to ice cream coz now a days the ice cream is cheap and skimpy on the ingredients. Its not like how it tasted when i was growing up. Cake too... It tastes nasty i gotta bake it at home with butter & stuff...

I prepare a leche merengada shake and its by putting milk sugar cinnamon bars and lemon zests to boil. Then you take off cinnamon and lemon and put it in the fridge for some hours. You drink cold and it's the tastiest thing you can ever drink.
You can make the salted caramel from gemma's website (www.biggerbolderbaking.com/salted-caramel-sauce/) and add a cooled down swirl to the ice cream when you'll stir it for the second time so it won't combine completely.

👍 I found a recipe for 'Fruit Syrup' ('reduction') and learned how to make syrup from a bag of frozen 'Mixed Berries'. I followed your recipe exactly and it has been perfect! Not a single drop of ice. It is wonderful! Thank you! (ps: I have made your easy ice cream recipe many times and it too is MINDBLOWING!) And I use only a whisk. 👌
the recipe works like a charm, thank u so much. also i added some fix , when it comes to blending , i put the whole bowl in the salt ice tub . after finishing the whisxking part , then directly put it to the fridge about 8 hours without taking out for extra blending. the result is quit well .
Hi Gemma, I just made Avocado gelato using your recipe using the fruit that we picked from the front garden which my mother planted it a long time ago. I have some certain challenge regarding with freezing while churning which my mom tend to cram the freezer with meat whenever she did her shopping thus I used the 2 bowl method (I've learned it from one of Adam Ragusea's videos) which is a lifesaver and it is a success. My mom and the rest of my family stated it tasted so good which it is a suitable dessert for the Green Thai curry dinner that my eldest sister was making. Thank you so much for this wonderful gelato recipe even if Avocado is one of my least favorite fruits.
@@biggerbolderbaking Thanks for the reply Gemma, I also made some experiments with your recipe in regards with controlling the sweetness (first is banana nutella & nutella kinder joy for the other) turns out that the custard base is quite full proof although that I have made some certain errors with regards with dabbling with measuring the ingredients particularly with salt & sugar but nonetheless that I have enjoy the process.

You actually make pistachio flavor gelato by using avocado because avocado tastes like fresh pistachio.
My favourite is either coconut or pistachio flavoured 😍
I love pistachio gelato because it is so creamy at first, then you get a nice crunch from the pistachios!!! 🍦
