A couple of weeks ago my Walmart had most of their bonus bundle mandala cakes clearanced for $5. I bought all of them 😳. I just couldn't pass them up.

Either more people are crocheting, or they're cutting back on amount they stock. For sure it's getting hardervtobfind enough yarns for a large project. As far as the messed up yarns, you can go in almost any department and some people just seem to love stripping, tearing, using, disturbing, etc. everything.

You have a bigger section of yarn than any of the 3 Walmart’s that are less than 30 minutes away from me ! All the yarn sections are only 2/3 of an isle 😕! One of the Walmart’s has the yarn isle right across from the messy clearance section so it’s trashed a lot! I end up straightening the yarns up just to find enough yarn to make something 😅!

Your right walmart had a big isle of yarn years ago so many of us miss it. You'd think they'd listen to keep it. It's not like it's not bought. Plus we would buy elsewhere.😊
My Walmart has a very small selection of yarn and craft items. It was surprising that they had a good supply of Granny Square yarn which I bought out. Then they want back to not having anything.

Wow, I can't believe they put that cake on the shelf that way! The Walmart I frequent has windows the yarn fown to a hlf of an aisle on one side. It is so sad!! Boy you are lucky bc my Walmart in Lewisburg, pa really does not have all those yarn choices in fact they barely carry any Red Heart anymore. They also don't carry Susan Bates hooks.

I enjoyed seeing all the yarns on sale since I never go to Walmart.
I work for walmart.if the yarn aisle downsizes anymore it will be because customers tear open yarn and then leave it.they try to resell it which is why its wound with rubberband.people love walmart but they dont care how much money it costs us.
We never got the Pioneer Woman yarn , not 1 skein , got the hook case w hooks that was it , so no idea what it feels like , they came out with the tiny peaches and cream during the pandemic , and Walmart never puts yarn on clearance or on sale , way up here in N E , and You have way more of a selection too lucky you lol
My Walmart is 1 and 1/2 hours away .i went 2 days ago.. they had about a 5 ft section of yarn and not much thete anyway. Im going to have to go to JoAnns .but i do all my yarn shopping online

I hope Walmart doesn't shrink their yarn supply here. Our local yarn/craft store closed (owners retired) and there's no other place to buy yarn without making a day trip out of it or ordering online.

People remove labels all the time. The yarn was loose and someone rolled it up.
No Pioneer Woman in my store. Different sale prices in Calif.
Your Walmart has way more yarn than mine. I have 1/3 of an isle from my knees to the top shelf. And maybe 1/3 of an isle for hooks, needles and other notions.

I went shopping for yarn yesterday, and I was shocked at the decrease in stocked yarn at Hobby Lobby and Michael’s. When I visited the new JoAnn’s in our area, I hit the jackpot and found an over abundance of yarn there! These 3 stores are in the same area, and I am wondering if the first two stores I mentioned have scaled down in their yarn stock because of the newly opened JoAnn’s? 🤔

If you return something to Walmart because it is broken, including tvs, they just put it back on the shelf. Never buy open boxes
I worked at Walmart and was a manager for a few years. People return absolutely any and everything and always swear that it's not used. I wouldn't be surprised if it was shoplifted and then returned either. Or someone stood in the isle and unwound it for kicks and giggles. You'd be amazed at what all goes on in a Walmart, by clients and associates alike 🙁

Walmart is not a favorite store.The yarn is maybe a third of a shelf and maybe 3. I was surprised to actually find 4 skeins of RH white sparkle yarn 2 make my Christmas aprons.I have 3 stores I can get to and they are all the same.Generally speaking all the craft stores are disappointing. I am an older crafter used to the older yarns and like to experience items in person.I have purchased some mystery boxes just to see some samples.I rely on your channel and others just to get some idea of what is. out there.I want to join your channel but am afraid of getting into something I may not afford
Yes Cody. Peaches and Cream used to be 3 or 4 ounces. It's a shame it shrunk, since it's the most absorbent for wash cloths and coasters. 🧶
I moved to Wyoming a couple of months ago, and both of our walmarts here where I live only have one small row of yarn, which totally surprised me because I moved to a much bigger town than I lived in before. When I first started crocheting I would only shop for yarn at my local Walmart because they had the best prices and there were three or four isles of yarn. I really wish they would bring back the yarn.
Sadly it must be a dying art why spend 40 hours and $60 on yarn when you can just buy a cheap blanket for $5.

I have a loom, but mine is the shorter "scarf" size. I used 1 skein of premier bloom to make a good size soft squishy scarf in 1 day.
I must be the only person in the world who actually likes the pioneer woman yarn 😂. I wish I could find the yarn cakes, but they are not sold in any stores in my area.

In the pictures and cream yarn the Soviets were always 2 and a 1/2 ounces and the Maltese were 2 oz but yeah you're right they do look a little smaller wonder if they're winning the title
