Hello everyone, I wanted to address the two disappearing smoked sausages at the end of the video. After eating the first two, I realised that they weren't cooked properly (still frozen in the centre) and I couldn't bring myself to eat the last two knowing that- hope you can understand! Leah

It's a matter of fact Heinz "Tomato Sauce" contains legal amounts of Insects and bugs, it's legal according to food regulations, so maybe not 100% Vegan.

Hey Leah, I would love to see a video series where you wear the Levels continuous glucose monitor and do an experiment with what the giant meals/challenges/competitions do to your metabolism/blood sugar (vs your regular meals).
Not everything is meant to ‘taste’ like the meat version! But yay for doing this video, it’s nice to see someone not saying how vile vegan junk food is.

Most Bread are vegan and ketchup is too there is so many things that are vegan by ingredients.. once u start looking it’s amazing 🤩 and the amount of vegan food out know amazing xx

Vegan bread LOL! the vast majority of bread is vegan! I do get concerned about people that eat a VAST amount of red meat and processed meat as they are both a known cause of cancer ... animal products not only clog arteries, they cause and feed cancers so it is good people cut down on the consumption of animals ... a person that eats a plant based diet isn't always "vegan" for ethical reasons, there are a vast majority of us that do it for health reasons ... doesn't stop us liking the taste of meat still. ...many things are vegan by accident and as you see there is plenty of really tasty food out there that won't kill people slowly...

I like how vegans always come up with the animal welfare and environment twoddle, ignoring the fact that most livestock animals would be slaughtered if everybody went vegan, countless insects and small rodents are slaughtered in the growing and harvesting of veg/ grain and then diesel belching equipment used to harvest and transport them to the shops, then the energy to cook it all - remind them of that when they try and take the moral heigh ground.
I study animal care (so we learn about the welfare of animals and how to care for them and all that) and a lot of people irritate me especially the uneducated ones who know nothing about animal welfare or animal care and assume everything is evil and abusive because of videos they’ve watched that are most likely bullshit videos that are made up.

Most of these processed products are purchased and consumed by non vegan/vegetarian.
@@LeahShutkever You are 100% correct. Us vegans don't stop eating meat because we didn't like the taste. It definitely helps with the cravings. The options are broadening and the flavours and textures have improved a lot.

Yass been hoping for a Veganuary challenge! Kudos for your open mind...I've been vegetarian for 25 years and vegan for just over a year and still make mistakes (accidentally bought dairy cream cheese the other day!). But it's not about being perfect; it's about making small changes and hopefully benefiting from some pleasant surprises. Always love watching you, no matter what you're eating xox

It’s a vegetarian I find it confusing that people want to eat vegan food that tastes like meat. oh and so sad to hear that the food was cold. I always turn off when I find that out.😢
Just a reminder, this is no “meat” here. You can say the soy is really good or the tempeh is really good, but you can’t say the meat is really good, because there is none.

I been strictly carnivore diet, but these all looked so good. Im impressed on how far vegan food has come...but I have a hard time believing that any processed food is completely vegan... just as I dont believe any processed food is strictly carnivore...
I would love to go vegan, but not only am I severely anemic, cannot absorb iron through my gut, and need to take meds that have animal product in them with no alternative....I also am highly allergic to gluten, soy, lactose, casein, and cannot digest some carbs such as most potatoes and legumes and need to stay on a low carb diet for my thyroid. So go me. LOL But no really. I love vegan food, what little I can enjoy very spaced apart. It's just my protein and fat requirements accompanied by digestive issues and health issues makes it impossible. If I had a master chef and endless money I think I could do it but that's never going to be my reality so kudos to people with my extreme health issues that can do it. Because I don't know how you do it while holding down a full time job, going to doctors appointments and cleaning and cooking while caring for family. Ugh. Life. All of this looks great though.

You couldn't be more wrong about eating meat. Look up the Carnivore Diet and the proper way of eating for humans.

My comment is no reflection on Leah which did amazing as usual in this challenge. My opinion is on highly processed fake meats. or vegan "meats" companies. if someone is vegan. why do they need highly processed foods some invented in a lab simulating meats in the first place if they don't want to eat meat?...in the first place??? these foods are so packed with hidden additives and glues and are just so highly processed they are not a health food at all. I say this because there's a lot of people out there thinking when they eat these things, they are actually doing something healthy for themself. which they are not. Obviously, Leah does tons of Challenges that wouldn't really be considered healthy food. But those most people can use their own common sense and know that food is not healthy and can use their own judgement if they want to eat it or not based on knowing that already. these things though are a little more sneaky and fool people into thinking they are a healthy alternative.
I HATE when vegans call some meat or chicken, its plants it have nothing to do with chicken or meat...........

What I can't understand is why call it "meat" when it's definitely not meat. There is no chicken in it but they and she says chicken all of the time. If vegans want to sell their stuff, stop naming the foods after the animals they don't want to eat. I wish she had more knowledge of what she was eating so we could know exactly what it is.

So many kinds of bread are vegan by default. Ketchup is also technically plant-based.
I had to go vegetarian since my kidney removal. It’s hard. Some fake meat is good but some are terrible. Morningstar farms and Gardein brands are ok.
I've been in the lab for months and I've finally done it i created impossible fried chicken are you reading for my drumstick
Cheese analogue is so bad, shivering in disgust thinking about it. I can't have real cheese due to allergies and I desperately wanted this to work - nope.

But here's my issue with this type of food - it seems so artificial, surely meat e.g. a decent or high welfare chicken or a steak is far more natural and better for you.
I'd like to see how many additives are in fake meat food & surely those additives must be bad for you.
When I was younger & doing high level gym work & trying to eat around 3,000 cals a day, a nutritionist once warned me off additive packed food & supplements in favour of smaller portions of real food.
This vegan food makes me uneasy.
You are correct, this is not healthy in the sense of being natural food, its man made processed fake meat,
A vegan normally would not eat the food here, unless it's either a treat or served when you visit friends or family
There are alternatives to appease people who want something that looks familiar, but as a vegan it's mainly fruit and veg we eat and a lot of home cooking from scratch
Wow! Awesome seeing you do a vegan challenge. I’m actually vegan. Let me know if you have any vegan questions. FYI, ketchup is naturally vegan-friendly. Most bread is vegan-friendly too unless it’s a weird fancy bread (egg bread). Eating vegan is actually super easy, I like the food better and it reduces animal suffering. Everyone loves animals, right?! Great video!

Thank you!! well, I found when i read a lot of bread labels there is some form of milk powder/egg white powder in it so i did have to scout around for the bread. With the ketchup, I did read the heinz label and seemed fine BUT it didnt say vegan friendly so i was suspish..
@@LeahShutkever Okay, maybe there’s a difference in bread between the UK and Canada. Here anyway, there aren’t many labels that specify vegan friendly food, so there’s lots of ingredient list reading going on 😄

try the vegan food in the 80,s my sister and i when we were living in Australia we had vegan friends and they live on a farm we had cabbage and kidney beans with milk my sister and i said it was very bad when we went home we had beef to take that taste away from our mouths but i am lad the vegan foods got better and i had vegan sasauge rolls and they were tasty
I'd like to see a lists of all the chemicals you just consumed that will come back to be cancerous in the future. That is the only way to treat something and make it taste like something else.
I agree with the first part of your comment, that food probably has a ton of chemicals, bleh. But it is possible to make something vegan that tastes like the real thing. I made vegan chicken nuggets with natural ingredients (by natural I mean no chemicals) and they were very convincing 😋.

@@matthewsavage7385 There is no chicken flavoring in the recipe. But, now that I think about it, it has been a while since I've eaten real chicken nuggets, so I'll probably have to get someone who has eaten chicken nuggets recently to try it. They will probably be able to tell whether or not it is convincing. Either way it tastes very good.
