@@BritishAvgeek Well it was a great tutorial regardless and shows off that the 72 is actually alot of work! I wonder if you can get a paper chart next to the CIVA INS with all your waypoints? I think I saw it somewhere on the FSS website screenshots and wondering if its an option in the clipboard somewhere. It would be super cool (and immersive) if the Navigraph charts were placed there as flippable pages from your "pinned" Navigraph section, otherwise that space is pretty empty and useless.
@@MRxJZN thanks, working night shifts then recording these tutorials 2-3 times over due to preview version updates made for a few issues and mistakes (like the gear keybinds on my bravo suddenly playing up!) couldn't bear recording again 😅
Thanks so much for making these! The 727 has almost instantly become my personal favorite aircraft to fly. It just has that layer of vintage authenticity that no other airliner/cargo jet can quite replicate as of yet. It's all the better now that I know how to properly manage it!
I want a 727 more than any other jet liner. But, I'm waiting to see what FS Reborn/SWS has coming. I believe they are going to offer the -100 version. That's what I'm looking forward to.
I've noticed the IAS hold is not working the way it's suppose to via the speed bug. It just holds at the current speed of the aircraft instead. It should pitch to maintain the speed in which the bug is set to on the airspeed indicator.
I am really enjoying your B 727 tutorials. I do have to tell you that there is an auto throttle system on the B727. Let me explain. I was watching a real B 727 flight. It was flying cargo in South America. The FO showed us the auto throttle system by reaching back a grabbing the SO hand and holding it up. He then said this is the B 727 auto throttle system. 🤣🤣🤣
For some reason, when I’m at a gate and use the digital flight engineer to do the checklists, once I’m ready to take off, the gear will not retract. If I have MSFS put me directly on a runway with engines turning the gear works as advertised on takeoff. Where is my mistake?
Shouldn't you be setting the aircraft pitch selector to IAS HOLD and keeping it there for the entire climb out? Setting the speed bug as you retract flaps? that way the aircraft maintains the most optimal climb rate?
depends - lots of operators use it in different ways. This way I was able to fight around a few of the lingering bugs in the release version hence why it was done this way.
I found it! However I cannot make the HSI to work on the NAV mode, I have tried everything. The frequency in correct and active, and the CDI is on NAV, however neither the bearing or the CDI or DME works, any tips?
forgive me but from your tutorial in the phase after take-off it's very confusing and it's not clear what exactly to do you're too fast and you move buttons then put them back in short it's a mess.
flying an aircraft and talking through stuff in real time as it happens in the sim isn't as simple as folk like you probably think it is... I can't keep pausing the sim every 5 seconds to go through each thing that happens or the video will be hours long
Looking pretty hot and humid there in 'Manchester' @ 0:44!
Oh wow 😂😂😂 I meant Miami! It had been a tiring day!

It might have been in the offical trailer video actually

@@ironmann16 great to hear! It's been very fun to fly hasn't it
@@BritishAvgeek indeed sir!
Thanks for the useful tutorial. I liked the comment that the 727 "likes a sporty departure"! 😀
I just picked this up. Looks amazing and a ton of fun! Thanks for the tutorial videos :)

@@kevin1873 absolutely - from what I understand they are aware of it
I thought that’s how IAS speed worked on this plane
Just like the BAE 146
Get it to the speed you want and click IAS and it’ll hold the speed

Absolutely true! For 10 years that was my hand!
Where on the checklist do you slam the gear lever up and down 50 times for good luck 😂
the only thing is I think you'd reduce thrust to climb a thousand feet above? but I'm not sure
Good video! Where can I find the Symbrief profile?

It might be a weird behaviour with a keybind, not sure what to suggest beyond maybe seeking support directly from FSS
