Fusion tacos! Japanese-inspired tacos, like "sushi tacos" or teriyaki tacos with like pickled diakon or miso-glazed protein of choice with some refreshing cucumber Topping and Sriracha mayo drizzle.
That sort of thing.

Aaaand you’ve convinced me to buy the series in the deluxe edition. I have the first two volumes but never read past it. The atmosphere really drew me in bc it sort of reminded me of ancient magus bride. Also love the idea of you doing manga reviews! Kaiju No.8 might be one you would be interested in?

I will be eagerly following this series because I haven't sat down to watch anime/read manga since I binged Death Parade and Mushi-shi back-to-back while a traumatic thing was also happening in real life and basically sunk under the weight of existential dread 😅
But maybe a melancholy fairytale vibe is just what I need to dive back in (and not gonna lie, those special editions look absolutely gorgeous!)

I'd recommend Mononoke, its got a beautiful watercolour aesthetic and a monster-of-the-mini-arc format like Mushishi. It gets pretty dark (I can give TWs if you'd like) but it's really compelling.
The first arc, Bakeneko, was in an anthology series called Ayakashi Classic Horror, but being an anthology you can also start from ep1 of the series proper. And there's a movie this year!

@neddles33 thank you for the recommendation! I've heard of Mononoke but my brain always confuses it with the Ghibli movie. The anthology format sounds really intriguing 😊

I'm not sure if my comment went through but if i had to recommend a manga it would be dungeon meshi (or delicious in dungeon in english). it's an dnd inspired fantasy world with amazing characters and great twists on classic troupes. the anime which is on netflix just finished up it's first season with a second on the way (the english dub is recommended). it's a fun story with some dark turns, and it's easy to find for free online.
you have such a honest and down to earth reviewal style that you don't see to often and it's a breath of fresh air :) keep up the good work.
