It is available in BuddyBoss Platform. Go to your WP Dashboard > BuddyBoss > Settings > Activity, you can enable Follow from there. Then, you can add Follow widget in Appearance > Widget.

I can't for the life of me figure out why you created a nice demo sandbox but make it really hard to achieve that look and feel. Make it the preset. We understand you would like to set up the theme like that in our demo. Please be advised that we have gone away from using a one-click installer with the new BuddyBoss Theme as it causes issues based on experience. Also, our demo site is huge in size and it wouldn't be a good idea to import all that. So we came up with a better way of doing this by having a built-in feature that allows you to add default data or dummy information that you can test and play around like default groups, forums, members and activity while you work on your site. However, please note that if the plugin is not listed on our integrations page: www.buddyboss.com/integrations/, we cannot guarantee that a third-party plugin will work well with our BuddyBoss Theme as we haven't tried it extensively and also we don't have an integration nor a built-in function with such a feature yet. You are free to try, and we are happy to know how it works on your end.

@@BuddybossWP Does it work acceptably with the Divi plugin? I've noticed info on Divi+BuddyBoss is very thin from both BuddyBoss and Elegant Themes. Almost like there is some conflict between the team leaders or something.

In fact I expect we will add better support for Divi in the future. Right now Divi should work out of the box as it does in any other theme, but with no special support for it just yet.
If you go into Appearance > Menus, you need to set up a menu and assign it to "BuddyPanel - Logged in users" menu area. You will only see this menu option if you are using our theme.
That is the case out of the box. The "Follow" button is an option you can turn on and off. If enabled, you will see activity of people you are following in your own timeline (like Facebook). But the sitewide activity feed will always show all activity from all users. The one exception is activity posted into private groups, which you can only see if you are also joined into those groups.
It's dependent on your screen width. This tutorial is from a 13 inch laptop, on a bigger screen there will be some space between as the content has a max-width to it.
@@BuddybossWP Ok, that makes sense. I'm on a 27" screen. I see that it looks great on a 23" or lower screen. I do wish the side BuddyPanel menu would extend into that white space more on a larger screen as it would totally fill that area rather than pushing the center over. Thanks for the answer.

Right now the only method is through the widget. We are considering making an activity "block" that could be added into a WordPress page, but for now that does not exist yet.

I created a new page called "Activity Feed" and configured it in Settings > Reading > home page. The page shows at the root of the site / but the page is blank. How do I insert the Activity Feed widget in the page? Thanks.
Not exactly sure what this means, all you need to do is upload the theme ZIP file to Appearance > Themes and then activate it and you will see the theme's layout on the frontend. If you are still having issues please submit a support ticket so they can assist you.
There is no dummy content to import so yeah, there is nothing to see at the beginning. You pretty much have to create a few posts, create members, forums, groups etc. Then just follow this video and your content be there.

But the issue is that with the majority of your documentation being videos, you really need to update them more frequently. I tried to follow along, but BuddyPanel doesn't work, the Widgets UI isn't the same, and the Header isn't sticky. This, from a brand new WordPress install, hosted. I've built WordPress sites for 10+yrs, and purchased from you a few years ago. The BuddyBoss Theme and Platform currently allows embedded video links from TH-cam, Vimeo, etc to post in the activity feed. You just need to copy the URL and paste it in the activity feed.

The app has its own branding and color options. If you are displaying a web page from your theme in the app as a web fallback, then in that scenario only the colors from the theme will display.

Out of the box, the BuddyBoss Theme does not have a built-in option to hide the page titles, but you may want to check this article that may provide a solution on this matter:

Why is in my activity feed the delete in the menu in the upper right of a post and not beneath the like and comment?!?! Dont get it what switch i am missing.

At a group panel where stands: "you're a member - there is in the German translation a error there stands: "Du bist a Mitglied" - this "a" is wrong there, it must be deleted so: "Du bist ein Mitglied" - stands there. but also with LOCO translate I cannot find the "a". I find: "you're %2" - "Du bist %2". I think this "a" from "a member" ist fixed somewhere in a php file from theme or plugin. any hints to get rid of that "a"?! Thanks again!!! ;)

Please can't We import the demo like every other themes. Please tell me if is there anyway we can import the exact copy of the demo site
We understand you would like to set up the theme like that in our demo. Please be advised that we have gone away from using a one-click installer with the new BuddyBoss Theme as it causes issues based on experience. Also, our demo site is huge in size and it wouldn't be a good idea to import all that.
So we came up with a better way of doing this by having a built-in feature that allows you to add default data or dummy information that you can test and play around like default groups, forums, members and activity while you work on your site. I don't want users to upload any video. I want them to only submit videos in embed link format. How can I create an icon for adding embed video link in the Profile ->Videos -> add videos section? The only option available right now is to upload video from your physical hard drive. Thanks!

However, please note that if the plugin is not listed on our integrations page: www.buddyboss.com/integrations/, we cannot guarantee that a third-party plugin will work well with our BuddyBoss Theme as we haven't tried it extensively and also we don't have an integration nor a built-in function with such a feature yet. You are free to try, and we are happy to know how it works on your end.

How can we set some different BuddyBoss Activity Reactions?
This is not available at the moment but we will be extending the “Likes” functionality in the activity feed to include reactions, allowing users to select emojis such as Love, Haha, Wow, Sad, Angry, etc. We are aiming for Q2 2021 for this feature. Check our roadmap here: www.buddyboss.com/roadmap/
Does the theme come with a page builder? If not, does the theme work well with Divi or Elementor?
It works really great with Elementor and Beaver Builder. You have to download one or the other separately, they are not shipped with the theme.
@@BuddybossWP Does it work acceptably with the Divi plugin? I've noticed info on Divi+BuddyBoss is very thin from both BuddyBoss and Elegant Themes. Almost like there is some conflict between the team leaders or something.
@@schoolofvoiceovertrainingc6151 We have focused so far on compatibility with Elementor. However there is no conflict between us and Divi at all. In fact I expect we will add better support for Divi in the future. Right now Divi should work out of the box as it does in any other theme, but with no special support for it just yet.
In the buddypanel, menus I am not getting buddyboss section
If you go into Appearance > Menus, you need to set up a menu and assign it to "BuddyPanel - Logged in users" menu area. You will only see this menu option if you are using our theme.

How do I create an open community? Whereby my members could see everything in the activity feed WITHOUT having to follow anyone?
That is the case out of the box. The "Follow" button is an option you can turn on and off. If enabled, you will see activity of people you are following in your own timeline (like Facebook). But the sitewide activity feed will always show all activity from all users. The one exception is activity posted into private groups, which you can only see if you are also joined into those groups.
How did you manage to get your pages to display full width? On my system I have an enormous gap between the BuddyPanel menu and the content.
It's dependent on your screen width. This tutorial is from a 13 inch laptop, on a bigger screen there will be some space between as the content has a max-width to it.
@@BuddybossWP Ok, that makes sense. I'm on a 27" screen. I see that it looks great on a 23" or lower screen. I do wish the side BuddyPanel menu would extend into that white space more on a larger screen as it would totally fill that area rather than pushing the center over. Thanks for the answer.

We are working on a video feature for our Media component, which will allow video uploads in Profiles, Groups, Forums, Messages. It's not live yet.

Right now the only method is through the widget. We are considering making an activity "block" that could be added into a WordPress page, but for now that does not exist yet.

@@BuddybossWP I found that the "Posts" widget does what I needed. It displays Posts or Pages, per Category, can order by date asc or desc, with pagination, etc.

I created a new page called "Activity Feed" and configured it in Settings > Reading > home page. The page shows at the root of the site / but the page is blank. How do I insert the Activity Feed widget in the page? Thanks.

I activated the BuddyBoss theme but the theme isn't shown on my website, there is nothing to see from the buddyboss theme. What's the problem?
Not exactly sure what this means, all you need to do is upload the theme ZIP file to Appearance > Themes and then activate it and you will see the theme's layout on the frontend. If you are still having issues please submit a support ticket so they can assist you.
There is no dummy content to import so yeah, there is nothing to see at the beginning. You pretty much have to create a few posts, create members, forums, groups etc. Then just follow this video and your content be there.

@@milkod2001 There is dummy content to import. You can go into BuddyBoss > Tools > Default Data. Then you can run the importer and it will create a bunch of dummy content for you automatically.
How do you hide the WP admin bar for all users. Everything I'm trying isn't working
Go into BuddyBoss > Settings > General. Under "Toolbar" uncheck every option and save.

But the issue is that with the majority of your documentation being videos, you really need to update them more frequently. I tried to follow along, but BuddyPanel doesn't work, the Widgets UI isn't the same, and the Header isn't sticky. This, from a brand new WordPress install, hosted. I've built WordPress sites for 10+yrs, and purchased from you a few years ago. This wasn't a cheap purchase; really disappointed that I'm having to ask for help, especially being that I'm on a timeline and didn't expect to run into issues within the first few hours.

The BuddyBoss Theme and Platform currently allows embedded video links from TH-cam, Vimeo, etc to post in the activity feed. You just need to copy the URL and paste it in the activity feed.
