The muffler delete is just louder that's all. I will say that the guy got ripped off for 1300, that probably could've paid for long tube headers and a decent catback. Never even heard of awe.

X pipe delete, custom balance tube. 4" round x 14" magnaflow mufflers and out thru quad tips. Sounds amazing. I asked about 2 3/4" and he asked if I just want to cut my pipes like an idiot and pretend like I have an exhaust? He won't do straight pipes either... mumbled something like how about we just drill holes in your stock mufflers? Lol guess he has issues with people making their cars sound trailer trash?
i can assure you with a catback exhaust hes not gaining any power hes need to do it from the headers if he really wants gains... speaking with experience

I'll go with mid muffler delete anyday, I spent $1800 on an exhaust before and felt ripped off and had pretty bad drone, did mid muffler delete on my current hemi and it's only loud in track mode, I usually coast in eco mode and RPMs stay below 2k so I don't even notice the drone but when I put in track mode man it's loud! And it was less then $100 Only times it will drone is if I'm in eco mode on the highways cruising at like 90mph

So I had the MMD (Mid-Muffler Delete) done initially on my Charger R/T and was very happy with the sound. However (there's always a "However!), wifey-poo and my mother -in-law thought it too droney, so I had bullets (very small glass-pack-looking mufflers)put back in the mid-position. It's still louder than stock, and has a sound similar to your MMD, just a little quieter.
You should put the Dynomax mini race bullets in the rear and do a mid muffler delete, you’d be impressed! I have 0 drone on my Daytona, but I’ll be going catless in a few weeks
Having resonator/muffler delete; great at first. A year later, couldn’t stand the drone from daily driving. But if you like it, that’s all that matters for you vehicle.

OK......so...... I have a 2021 Durango RT, Tow N Go with the SRT exhaust and I did a custom H-Pipe, Mid Suitcase delete, added 2 Dynomax Race Bullets - in total I spent like $250. I do NOT understand people who will throw away over $1,000 for exhaust systems! That AWE does sound great but you can achieve the same results with a simple custom job. That mid muffler delete was way too raspy.
You're paying for the R&D, "refinement" and of course materials. Basically. Some cars you can get away with a 250 dollar job, other's not so much and by the time you find the sound and lack of drone that you want with multiple set ups, it would've been better to by the 1300 dollar exhaust from the beginning
Muffler deletes sound badass when you’re idling but for daily driving and long touring drives they just suck. Sound too sharp for me. Some places the fine for getting caught once with muffler deletes is half the cost of a premium stainless kit anyway.
Not true I have a mid muffler delete and I take long trips to the beach and to car shows all the time it is a drone on 1st 2ed and 3rd gear that you can hardly hear the exhaust when it get up to higher gears it’s sounds about like stock unless you go wide open .I guess it’s the 5 inch tips my car is a 21 redeye charger and it sounds amazing I get compliments on my exhaust and the car every time I take it for a spin
i feel like for the cheap, quick, and nice way of getting the exhaust to sound good, for a beginer the muffler delete is good, but i feel like the AWE would sound better if the car was tuned to do 5k-6k instead of the 4k rpm shown in the vid. plus with some nice engine mods done i feel the car would sound more classy and mean imo. but the exhuast delete always sounds good for the price and performance of a stock 5.7.

AWE over a cheap delete any day. It's loud but also sound cleaner, designed to reduce drone, and will last as long as he owns the car because it is stainless steel and cones with a life time warranty. The muffler delete is only 6 decibels louder but sound like shit. It can get attention at the red light but that is it. A case of spending the money the right way so you don't come back to fix your mistakes.
Don't you know volume is the only thing that matters on exhaust anymore? Who cares about performance, drone, sound quality or stainless pipes that will outlast the car let's make it sound like shit the cheapo way it's better because it's louder. Louder = better....NOT.
What is that noise called that these dodges and trucks make at idle? It kind of sounds like "glugglugglugglugglug". My coupe makes this noise when I straight pipe and I ended up putting a factory muffler back on because of it but is there a way to have an aggresive sounding exhaust without that idle tone?

I paid about 800 for my dual set on my truck no cat's X pipe 2 super 10s want to change out to the BORLA ATAK give me some exhaust work done this month just waiting for a part to come in the mail

@@vf12497439 Huh, we made custom exhaust to my 3.0L audi. The piping was left stock 3" but we swapped all 1 res 2 mufflers. Cost was around 600.

Muffler delete is better %100. Has more rasp to it but it has the right amount of rasp, not too annoying but still loud as hell
With AWE kits you should always opt for the touring mufflers, and just get headers later.
