So cool to see picture sleeves that I have never seen before. Very cool Bowie and especially the Cure!

Hi 👋 Greetings from New Zealand. I like the 10cc record I'm Mandy fly Me . I bought the album of theirs titled How dare You back in 1975 on vinyl that contained that song. Its such a cool song. And i have it on cd now. Cool records there. From Carl.

I do have quite a lot of 45's but along with my 78's, they will be the last to be entered into Discogs. I don't have many with picture sleeves. Reggae records are often hard to find, so it's great you found some 45's. I love that Ray Charles tune as well, written by Percy Mayfield and I love his records as well. I have never heard of the Donut Collection but it seems very unique.

Hi Randy - I'll need to give Percy Mayfield a listen as I'm not familiar...

Hi Dale. Japanese 7” singles in a field in Hampshire 😂 Have to say their cover artwork looks very appealing. Nice Bowie Sound and Vision sleeve too.
Hope you have a great holiday.

Thanks John - The artwork was definitely what attracted me to the Japanese singles. Holiday video coming soon...

7” singles. Now there’s a rabbit hole. Especially if you pursue non U.K. 45s. Ever so slightly addictive. I have far too many. Nice haul. Cheers my friend, Chris

Thanks Chris - I hope I don't get as deep into the hole as you but 7" singles are enjoyable...cheers Dale

@@gatefold33 stopped buying them now Dale. As I have records generally. Got to be special or a bargain . Got too many and need very few more. By and large i have stopped visiting record shops. The addiction has been overcome !

Hi Dale, never really collected singles (though I do tend to buy most Fruits de Mer), though the other week I did pick up 16 singles from a local charity shop for the princely sum of £5. They looked pretty beat up (especially the covers), but on the whole once cleaned up they generally played OK.
You managed to find some good 'uns - especially finding the reggae ones and Japanese 7"s. You need to get yourself a juke box - would make it easier to play all your singles - I'm sure the wife wouldn't mind 😁. Look forward to the next batch.

Hi Pete - I suggested we get a juke box to my wife...can't type her response...

    Now then, Dale.
In my teens I bought quite a few ex-jukebox singles which the local department store sold from a spinner rack. I think they were all 79p.
I've only recently returned to buying singles. The reason for this is realising that some songs were only available on singles. So, I don't generally pick them up if the songs are album tracks.
Saying that, I am beginning to pick up more singles as a result of doing the VC pub jukebox with John. He's got singles to go on for years, I'm beginning to run low on interesting 7"s.
Speaking of the pub jukebox, when are we likely to see you down the pub? It's not like you have a shortage of ammunition.
I reckon that Blur Song 2 single is worth a bit. Even if it's a jukebox version.
    Have a nice holiday.
    Cheers - Hedley

Hi Hedley - Single-only releases are definitely a reason to buy 7"s I agree. I got a stack of those jukebox singles but most were pretty rough unfortunately...Maybe one day for the pub but not following some of the VC royalty you've had recently...cheers Dale

Almost 1000 singles, WOW. To be honest Dale, I’m just too lazy to play singles. It involves too much exercise lol. My old record store in Midland has some Clash Japanese singles. They are not cheap but I still am thinking about grabbing them. He has had them for over a year. He tried to trade them at a record store but no one wanted 45s.

Hi Steve - Japanese singles are a bit of fun and Clash would be a nice addition for the novelty value at least...

90s jukebox singles without the silver ink filled in and just black and hole punched out I have quite a few. Blur song 2 was on their 5th album with beetlebum no?
I think you are cracking the 7" knowledge like myself but we'll never attain the status of the solely 7" dealers and collectors. They have an unenviable task and often specialize in certain genres. It's literally minefield of labels and little idiosyncratics plus it cost less to put out a single so lots more could just about afford it. Seems a loner game when I think who in VC has made videos about them though I'm praising in a way not taking away their black cab cult status likeness.

I tend to only buy 7"s at boot sales and only if they are really cheap because I have little idea really...
