  • Car camping is such a great way to save money on accommodation. These are my tips for how to car camp sustainably by sharing our car camping set up travelling around Canada for 18 months. From repurposed wood, used materials, and second hand cooking supplies. I'd love to hear if you've ever been car camping and what your set up looked like 👇

It's so easy to get used to and amazing to do when travelling somewhere like Canada. There are so many great spots you can find to park in in the wilderness!

Great! You're doing a good job at finding what you need without buying new!
Did you make a video about building the base for the bed in the car?

@@LifeBeforePlastic I'm curious about the back seats. Did you take them out or put the platform on them?

@@Hargitasimplyliving yes! Our dog stayed in the back seat when driving so we kept those seats and drilled a few blocks of wood into the back seat to balance the front half of the bed in. We added a lip to the back end of the bed and slotted the front into that with 5 slots to stop it from moving around. Makeshift but worked pretty well!
