- The Deathloop Golden Loop update has dropped, alongside Deathloop's Xbox Series X/S release! Aside from the new Deathloop extended ending, this update also includes new trinkets, a brand new ability, weapon, enemy type, and more. Also arriving in this September update is Deathloop crossplay across PSN, Steam, Xbox, and Epic Games Store! The Deathloop Goldenloop update, and its new ending, goes live on September 20, 2022.

Massive improvement, the original left me a little disappointed but this one provides a lot more closure. Instead of a different skybox and like 3 sentences of dialogue to explain the aftermath, we get a whole music video showing all of the main characters reactions. Really hoping for a follow up to this game, it's my favorite next-gen exclusive that I've played so far.

If we get a deathloop sequel, funny enough it will be available almost everywhere but not on Playstation

The Void must always have a host, that’s what the outsider said. What if the visionaries where the voids way of trying to form a host, but Colt unintentionally foiled it. In addition to this the sky line looks eerily similar to the skyline seen in the Redfall reveal trailer. What if blackreef was in a loop way longer then originally thought
There is a Wenje note that explains they'd potentially been in the loop for at least a few hundred years, and she's aware that she's unaware of when it happens

So much more satisfying - yet something STILL feels a bit missing… can’t explain it, but way better than what we originally got
Yeah, I'm happy it shows us how everyone else reacted to the loop ending and how Colt helped Charlie's robot, but it kinda screams "we're about to do a sequel"

I'm pretty sure they were holding off the real ending for the Xbox release.
It would be interesting if once the loop breaks and the first day begins they all remember every loop.

It's nice to see Pick Rexly again
It feels weird that everyone immediately understood what happened - after all, only Colt & Diana were keeping memories of the many loops. For everyone else, it was as if the looping did work as advertised - they lived (and died) the first day, then woke up again on the same morning. If anything, they should've proceeded as before, up until Colt makes an announcement that the loop is no more.
Also, the fact that everyone is so friendly and cooperative afterwards feels really weird. Noone even tries to shoot or stab Colt, even though he just ruined their venture of a lifetime.
It's because Julianna disappeared before she told anyone that Colt was a traitor.
You've got a key thing wrong: First Day was supposed to be the first day of the entire loop.
To everyone but Colt and Julianna, they never got a chance to start the party. For the entire rest of the island it was as though they fell asleep looking forward to the start of their endless time-looping party starting tomorrow only to wake up an unknown period of time in the future with the ocean dried and the sky burned on what was supposed to be their First Day of the loop.
Since Julianna didn't make the announcement about Colt betraying them nobody is hostile at first, which gives Colt the chance to explain to the scientists like Egor and Wenje what happened and they can confirm it all with their own research.
Juliana tells everyone that Colt is trying to destroy the loop that morning, as she wakes up before him. She never told anyone this time, and therefore, nobody even knows that he destroyed the loop.
Nobody has any memories of the loop, and therefore, when they fall asleep after a long night of partying, they expect to wake up living the same day, only to find out that they're far in the future, and the Loop is either broken, malfunctioned, or didn't work.
The sky and environment are different from what they remember, that's why they know something is wrong. If Frank's drug-burned mind can notice that, I'm sure others can as well.
in one of there conversations juliana says that the other visionaries "chose to stop remembering" a long time ago and seeing that theres a random npc that woke up one day and realized they were in a loop it can be assumed that everyone just stopped caring at one point. leaving colt and juliana as the only ones that cared to remember

When? If deathloop is in dishonored timeline the outsider should be dead because you killed in death of the outsider
The problem was there was nobody to be a catalyst for the void to prevent its instability or growth, that's why the anomaly and slabs were there to begin with.
All the timeloop did was hide them away from the rest of the world as it collapsed. @@Niko56783
@@Niko56783 killing him or keeping him alive results in the same thing, the void is leaking and without the outsider it cant be stopped, so both endings are possible. also since dishonored usually makes the low chaos endings the canon ones billie probably ended up saving him, since this is the "merciful" ending
The ending was decent, but it was necessary to immediately release the game with a full ending, and not a year later.

We got the confirmed dishonored connection, but what about a potential prey connection? The sky has these yellow and orange lines coming down onto the earth looking very similar to the strings the weavers produce to take over planets.
Dishonored/Deathloop is its own universe while Prey is set in the future of our universe. We learn in Prey that real world continents and nations exist (or existed rather) in that universe while the Dishonored universe has its own unique continents and nations.

People saying this ending is better, HOW. It's exactly the same, it adds literally nothing
It adds a lot of things, we finally see the reaction of all the Visionaries after we broke the loop. 2-Bit is finally free from Charlie's jackass, Alexis face reveal, Colt saved Pick Rexly. All of this was very much needed in the first ending.
Edit: It also opens up a lot of room for DLC seeing how everyone still has their powers and are leaving the island together.
It's a ton better, you see how everyone goes about reacting to the broken loop
