- The Remote Control Switch IR Switch project is a versatile solution for wirelessly controlling electronic devices. This project uses a 12V transformer, 12V relay, IR sensor, and a flip-flop circuit based on a 555 IC to enable remote-controlled switching.
Key Components:
1. 12V Transformer:
Provides a stable 12V supply to power the circuit and operate the relay.
2. 12V Relay:
The relay acts as the switching mechanism, controlling the connected device (such as lights, fans, or other appliances) based on the received IR signal.
3. IR Sensor:
The IR sensor detects signals from any standard remote control. When a button is pressed, the sensor captures the IR signal and sends it to the 555 IC for processing.
4. 555 Timer IC:
The 555 IC is configured in a flip-flop mode. On receiving an IR signal, it triggers the relay to switch on, and the next signal toggles the relay off.
This allows for easy on/off control of the device via remote.
Functionality:
The system works on the flip-flop principle, where each IR signal changes the state of the relay.
When the IR sensor detects a signal, the 555 IC switches the relay on, powering the connected device. Upon receiving the same signal again, the relay turns off, cutting power to the device.
This project offers a simple and efficient way to control household appliances using any standard remote, providing both convenience and energy efficiency.
is it possible to make the above with a timer switch on/off so when you use the remote control to turn off light, the timer switch kicks in and it turns the light off for 10-50 mins or the desired time?
Can you share a circuit diagram....
how many vdc for this bro i need to do for my final yearr project?
can u share code
can u please send circuit diagram
