My god the Spongebob Squarepants 4-D used to scare the pants off of me. I remember back in the day when all of the rides at Carowinds switched from Hannah Barbera to Nickelodeon.

That Yogi-on-the-Phone bit was hilarious until the Ranger Smith getting killed part. It doesn't completely ruin it but it really clashes with the atmosphere of Yogi to me.
Really great watch of this lookback, even from 12 years ago. Massivly enjoyed a trip down nostalgia lane from the EARLY days of cartoon network as a kid.

Charlotte's Web is #10 on my Top Ten Favorite Non-Disney Animated Movies. I watched that movie a couple of times as a child, and I did like what I saw. At age 21, I watched the movie again to live some memories, and now that I knew it was created by Willy Hanna and Joey Barbera, I was able to get a better appreciation for it. I do like the voice cast; combining Hanna Barbera voices like Donald Messick and Joan Gerber with celebrities like Henry Gibson, Debbie Reynolds and Paul Lynde, but it's the human children getting voiced by real children that I really like. I will also say the death of Charlotte can get very emotional. I would take Charlotte's Web over Animal Farm any day.
Xaviergray87 it's like in video games where Pac-man kicked off the whole industry until pricks like Sonic the hedgehog, Kirby and others swooped in! It's so cruel! I bet the only reason why Tom and Jerry don't get credit is because NBC called them racist, to make people hate them on purpose!
My top 10 best Hanna Barbera shows 1. The Powerpuff Girls 2. The Flintstones 3. The Smurfs 4. The Jetsons 5. Yogi Bear 6. PAC-MAN 7. Scooby-Doo 8.Snorks 9. Dexter’s Laboratory 10. Tom & Jerry

That movie means a lot to me, as it is a childhood classic! Also, I think that #1 choice of yours is a worthy pick! Finally, I can't wait for the next lookback!
Sadly-as someone who lives in Canada, Teletoon Retro is a pale comparison to what Boomerang is. A couple of interesting tidbits overlooked was the Banana Splits movie "The Banana Splits in Hocus Pocus Park" and the 1966 Alice In Wonderland special AKA What's a Nice Kid Like You Doing in a Place Like This?. So many fun shows, so little time to cover them all..I know.
I went on the Hanna Barbera ride when I was a kid and loved it. Infact I still got my Dastardly and Muttley models I brought from the gift shop. Hanna Barbera inspired some of my comedy in what I do on TH-cam.

Once Taft took over 50 years ago....the liberal Hanna Barbera became part of a Republican broadcast empire simliar to Fox/News Corp. It made too many cartoons, and the parent company would soon buy a company founded by former HB sound designers. Next year wouldve marked 30 years since Taft broke up into a broadcasting company by the same name and the entertainment division Great American Broadcasting owned by Carl Linder Jr. 25 years ago, Ted Turner bought hanna barbera, and 5 years after that, merged his parent company with Time Warner, combining DC, WB, and HB into an animation giant silmiar to Disney and Universal. Ten and 15 years ago William and Joe passed away, leaving HB (now cartoon network studios) an in name brand of WB Animation. Most recently some of the HB characters were revived for DC Comics' adult take on the characters for a millenial generation.
Don't worry he will. He made a poll over a year when he was making don bluth on which what animation studios for the next animation lookback. The poll is over now. First place came Pixar and second place is Nickelodeon. After Pixar he will do Nickelodeon.
It was a real treat watching this lookback, I apologize for not commenting on part four ^^; Most of those shows I grew up with, but the only one I actually enjoyed and still do to this day was the Powerpuff Girls. Hannah-Barbera has definetley made some of the best cartoons to dute, even out weighing Disney. I loved how Yogi gave you call. Was that you doing all the voiceovers?
did E.B think the songs were too silly or something? if that's the case i guess it would kind of make sense. i still think it's a great movie though :)
@realar There are a lot of people who can't be pleased. Some movie people who get paid to point out conspiracy theories and racism complained about the 1930s Tarzan movie because of the African tribe and their portrayal of Africans. Those same people complained about Disney's version because they cut out the African tribe altogether. These people would whine about Santa giving them an X Box instead of a Wii, then whine about the Tooth Fairy giving them a Wii instead of an X-Box.
My introduction to Charlotte's Web was this cartoon movie. I have never read the book or seen the live action movie. I've only ever seen the cartoon, lol.
It's because of Hanna Barbera why I enjoy My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. When I think of Hanna Barbera Cartoons I think of the limited animation they were so famous for. And when you think about it with the production for My Little Pony Friendship is Magic it also uses limited animation being flash is pretty hard to animate with. I may be a brony but I do love seeing how the cartoons I am into is made from the script to voice work to animation process I find it really interesting seeing a cartoon go from concept to our TV😊. I think everyone who does cartoons with limited animation has Hanna Barbera to thank for perfecting it. Heck some of the staff who works on My Little Pony Friendship is Magic worked at Hanna Barbera like the creator of the cartoon Lauren Faust. I think one of the writers of South Park works on the show too which to me extremely odd lol. I was already a HUGE fan of Hanna Barbera thanks to their classic cartoons and I think companies like DHX Media which bought Studio B Productions which is the animation studio who does My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and they practically perfected cartoons using flash animation. Just think about it before 2010 everyone wouldn't use flash animation to do cartoons thanks to how hard it is to work with. But nowadays a lot of cartoons are using flash as the main software to animate cartoons. I think unfortunately Teen Titans Go uses flash it certainly looks like flash animation. And Mighty Magi Sword on Cartoon Network does use flash.
That Yogi Bear moment was just PRICELESS XD
