Today we limit break Ophion on the character Je-Ne-Viv and boy oh boy do we have a hot weapon right here. The weapon spawns balls that attack very fast and each time, they have a chance to insta-kill the enemies - and that chance can be increased up to 100%. So yea, you can imagine what happens.

If you play lake foscari on the beta with the old engine then you can find a relic for the map. Devs said it'll soon be available for everyone. That map is super helpful and was available since DLC launch but idk why it's only on the beta for the old engine.
The arrows are easy to limit break, and quite fun
Something interesting about the skull aura that deals damage is it's area increases when you get and upgrade attractorb
The garlic like effect is actually not a part of the Shadow Servant, but a hidden weapon called Insatiable that acts like Blood Astronomia, its area scales with magnet and its damage with greed.

it also triggers a world eater on fatal damage, or every 6 levels.
world eater kills all enemies, heals for each kill, and erases solid pieces of the stage within its area.
So you saying blood astronomia is even more op with this character?
Well, extra greed and area from eggs is really funny with that character at some point you just start out with a full screen bubble that deals multiple 100s of dmg on it.
So what that dark garlic effect was. I knew he had something else cuz no other character has it not even the girl that starts with shadow servant.
first thing: je-ne-viv's description is "It will literally eat the world" which happens at the same time as the skull chomping effect. This effect removes textures and hitboxes of the map you are playing on. thats why some furniture nd bookshelves were missing-
second thing: there is actually a map for lake foscari and i have unlocked it. problem is, i dont remeber how
The map is only on the steam beta currently, sounds very helpful so I hope it comes out fully soon
It's just a relic item which was added and picked up from the map.
The damage from Luminaire is caused by those faint vertical light beams. While they cover the entire area, they light up in a random order so enemies can still sneak through. I tried a limit break, but couldn't do it.
(And yes, Je-ne-viv's World Eater effect does, indeed, destroy level geometry.)
just so anyone is aware and hopefully Dex sees this, the aura around the character doesn't scale as far I know with area BUT DOES scale in size MASSIVELY with.. pick up radius? idk but it does and it makes it take most of the screen with attract orb
Attractorb increases size and Stone Mask increases damage

the aura weapon is called insatiable and its a secret weapon you cant see on collection
Not sure if you realized why it's much darker when you move but my explaination is that you always shoot at the edge of the screen
So when you stand still you only have the effects on 2 lines
But when you move you move them a bit to the side and shoot again so you end up with way more lines of effects and thus cover the screen much more effective

tried it with pentagram, evolved to gorgeous moon, and got 10k levels on a 30 minute stage
downside is that he dies when the reaper would normally spawn on a stage
As the only Carrillo fan, I just like it as a joke weapon and as a reference to Dairy Plant mine carts.
The snakes you saw? that is shadow servant. Took me a couple of games for me to notice them. Also, someone has already mentioned about him literally eating the game world. I challenge you to completly devour lake foscari!

It's hilarious that you mention inverse mode in this video. I've been watching lots of your VS videos (some of them several months old) and noticed you were getting arcanas from the merchant, but your stage wasn't inverted. When I'd try to reproduce your setups I'd fail misserably and think you must not be playing in inverse mode. JUST BEFORE GETTING TO THIS VIDEO I learned there was a setting that doesn't invert stages on inverse mode. I just never looked at the settings outside of the stages since unlocking inverse mode and didn't know it was a thing. :) That answered a lot of questions.
Sammy keeps breaking my game. I sat him in the middle of the Guardian spawn in the secret area and... sadly couldn't even quit the run after 8 minutes of ingame time.
the big sword weapon is a game changer you can glitch trough walls with it after ervery finisher slam ( or water in the forest)

Should you decide to stand still an generate XP crystals, keep in mind there's an on-screen crystal limit.Once reached, a red crystal is generated holding on to all the XP after that.Very important pickup, contains potentially many level ups
I think the giant ring floating around is another SaGa Frontier reference, like NO FUTURE.
The final boss for the character Riki has a giant ring floating in the background.
And neither are simple torus rings, they have a noticeable gem attached.
Seems like an Ouroboros to me, to go with the snake theme. Shadow Servant is a crystal ball coiled by a snake, and Ophion is a crystal ball which I think is engraved with a 13th zodiac sign Serpentarius or some such.
Can't wait for your Sammy video. Sammy + Bone Zone will be a very fun watch, just make sure you manage the game's lag :P

What I want is for them to finally add Dracula or whoever the vampire guy from the start screen is to the game as a playable character.
Or a boss. Or like any kind of vampire. Except for bats I can't recall any vampires despite the game being called Vampire Survivors. Weird
Just so you know: There is actually a map for Lake Foscari. I dont know when it appeared but at the beginning of a run I saw that there was a book on the map so I went there and got a map
The World Eater effect that destroys terrain also increases your size with the amount of terrain destroyed. Your size is not scaling with Curse stat.
You need to turn on flashing effects for luminaire to understand what’s going on
as far as i know this character is bugged on xbox as i can have all 4 guardians on me and not die. the bubble is a hidden weapon its also the skull map eating effect the skull triggers with level ups ( idk if its a percentage chance each level or what, that also makes you grow i believe) it gets really big with attract orb as it scales with that
It literally eats the world, every time the skull chomps, it deleted anything it bites down on, including stage hitboxes.

Dex there is a map ! It's a second milky way map exclusive to the first map of the dlc (a new relic). But i dont know what are the requirement to make it spawn. And i have found nothing looking like a map for the abyss. Though i cant find it when i scearch on google but i have it in game.

Im pretty sure the AOE effect around the character is a hidden weapon or just a character passive. It isnt part kf the shadow servant at least.
Everytime the skull graphic appears and chomps it destroys world doodads. I've done this level with this character (seriously my favourite now after red reaper, try armour and retaliation arcana and the new sword evolved and basically demolish those guardians in a couple of seconds. Let them hit you) and even the top and bottommost bookcases get destroyed eventually.

Luminaire requires flashing VFX on to even see the attack animations and actually get visual feedback on the experience and coin multiplying, otherwise it looks like it does nothing

I did a one weapon Limitbreak with Samy and I always had to restart after 4 Minutes because nothing worked anymore and gained around 2 to 5 million gold in one round
Sammy with gold fever literally destroys my computer, I get to level 1000 in like 2 minutes and the game just runs at like a tenth of its normal rate
I broke my game with that idk everything was gone and every enrmy was inside me slowly killing me

Je-ne-viv is just bonkers I was farming Sammies, and she just didn't care about the reapers mostly killing them in seconds while not taking dmg
Why do you call Je-Ne-Viv a "he"? She's a mutated form of Genevieve Gruyere, uses the Genevieve sprite but with a giant red arm, and the game internally calls her "Mega Genevieve". However, she also absorbed Eleanor at some point, so "they" might be a better term since she could be considered plural instead of just one person.
I mean, it's a game character so do we really need to know these specifics and use them? An "it" will be a much more logical pronoun.
@@Arcticanine I wouldn't normally think much of it, but when Dex was explaining it, he talked about Genevieve saying "she", then in the next sentence talked about Je-Ne-Viv as "he", apparently not realizing they're the same person.

Ah Dex do you not see all those hearts flying in, can you not think of a single Arcana that would be better, seriously? What about one of the healing equals damage Arcana, not Blood Astromo but the other one, sorry I forget the name. With Trouser just eating the chickens from Greatest Jubilee that Arcana does in the 2.2 to 4.5 G range in damage when I do a run and it also does not add to the lag at all. Area as you mentioned is capped at some point and the limit break of most weapons ends up surpassing that on their own. Boogaloo is at best an early or mid game boost and at worst a total waste of an Arcana choice because it only boosts for half the time but also diminishes for the other half of the time. Yes I know it gives a +.01% boost to area on each cycle but I have to ask does that really make up for making things smaller for half the time and then bigger the other half which is a complete wash at best? I do have over 1600+ hrs in the game so I do have a decent grasp on it I think and I will die on that hill my friend.
I know you will keep using it no matter what anyone says but please maybe think about it a little more, just a little, please...
(Oh and the Wiki also tells us the best zone for gold farming is the Bone Zone which is incorrect. Up until this new DLC dropped Moonglow was the best and it wasn't even close in my testing of which I did months of farming with different characters, weapons/combinations, zones and zone modifiers just to start. So just maybe sometimes it's wrong, I don't know, but maybe?)...
still havent unlocked all the characters...someone suggested just go character by character and beat each lvl
i limit break this thing a couple of times now and i noticed that when you come to a point where the weapon always instakills enemies the kill count slows down a lot, i dont know if that affects the enemy spawn or what happen
Dex when you do Sammy you should play on inverse and get both disco and wicked season and see how long your PC can last for
If you work at NASA you can play Sammy in the bone zone which will get you infinite gold SO fast. But it broke my PC in ±5 min... :')
I did a one weapon limit break game with sammy and I was several hundred levels before ~6 minutes and had to quit that game around 11 minutes in because it was so laggy

can someone explain to me why dose no one has Sammy the character (don't tell that they don't have the dlc
Sammy is kind of broken to play. When you get Disco Arcana, he doesn't stop leveling up, and even if you pick up chests or passives lying around, you won't stop leveling up for them to register. Also, the cat's eye is very laggy.
Big downside, because you're nonstop leveling up, you can't hit esc to exit the run, so if it gets too laggy, strap in or force close the app. But you can easily hit 3k+ levels.
I'm gonna guess, that the insta kill counts as an effect, not as damage, so doesn't visually count in the statistics.
played this on the lake and i got stuck on the other side of the bridges due to the character growing too much, and clipped ONTO the lake water eventually.

When you go to limit break sammy go on bat country
This character is actually the mage or that big hair girl transformed. You can see part of his/her body limping dead, section of their cloth flailing husk, while this monstrosity grow out of them. Very terrifiing.
My sammy has 1000 eggs and it lags out my phone within the first couple levels

my first try with sammy i got wicked season and disco of gold and accidentally got over 7800 levels... and also 20m gold i guess... it's very balanced, you should try it!

If you think this is busted, you should see the new caterpillar character. I have way less hours in this game and I hit, and I'm not exaggerating, level 1248 before minute 6. It was completely insane. I also got over 2 million gold in that time, so he's probably the top dog for gold farming as well
he's a great starter for farming but trousers still king of gold farming

The skull around you, World Eater, triggers every 6th level up, and is strong enough to eat the world. Stand by a wall, trees, etc etc, and it triggers? It eats that part of the world. It is also why it grows. 😅

@@Ay_Yo_WTF The character has an ability that saves you from death once per life, but that isn't permanent. What happened to me was I had unlimited intangibility frames, and my character was constantly yellow. I survived for 15 minutes after the reapers showed up before I just quit.

How do you disable the Inverse effect of Inverse mode? I would play it a lot more.

I got up to almost 1 million kills in non-inverse mode. I think a million is actually within reach.
And 900+k on inverse mode, on the Abyss Foscari map. Inverse mode doesn't seem to matter much anymore.

The final damage of the evolved weapon is false, it is not possible that it killed more than 500k enemies but it does not even reach 1G of damage.

Overall I'm disappointed with the character. Eats worlds? Doesnt look to get that big to me. Doesnt start with the weapon evolved for whatever reason. Couldnt reach level 2000.
The character cannot be killed by Red Death, it becomes bigger with time and has an Instant Death weapon.
So, there are characters in the game which start off with non-evolving weapons because no other character had the pre-weapon before them. Crazy, right?
Also, since a character has Instant Death chances it doesn't need to go beyond several levels. Insane yeah?
