Every time Connor says condiments, it sounds like “condoms” so I’m initially thinking this camping trip is wild until I remember they’re talking about food and he’s saying condiments.
Totally works for him throating the burger! I joke about condiments being "condemn-ments" like if you come across some I mean I understand those that are all about trying it the traditional way which don't get me wrong I love, but the others that might snob for you breaking the traditions for any reasons as food is all about experimenting or WORSE the ones that experiment to the point of beyond edibility repeatedly and not just once the same mix of an overly saturated with "sauces/condemn-ments" dish and worse if you are a person trying their food for the first time! It's the whole cute and you will put up with it if your kid did it but expect a round of being condemned to torture if not that shouldn't be meant to be if it can be avoidable pain!
Does it strike anyone else as incredibly dangerous to drink yourself into unconsciousness to sleep in subzero conditions? Feels like a flawless method to contract hypothermia to me...
That's exactly right. Plus alcohol makes you not care about how cold you are. People always think it warms you up. It doest, you are still just as frikin cold, but now you are even more slower than before and are making shit decisions lol. I've often wondered how many people died from passing out on the side of the road while drunk in Canada... Well in any of the colder countries. But yeah... When in different places to where you are used to... Read up about it. Camping in cold climates when you are ill prepared or stupid can lead to incidents or cold injuries. Hell in Australia we get a lot of tourists or people backpacking through that are like oh this will be fine, we do this at home all the time. Like the amount of people that go out Bush, go to a water hole and are like I'll dive in, or jump in. No... If you know the place like the back of your hand .. Sure. If you are green to everything, then walk into the water first. Those places always look deeper than they are. So many people die from that because they crack their neck. Even when there are signs showing shallow water and no diving. Maybe they need to add the neck cracking sign too. I think less people die now coz most people are smarter and Google this stuff.... But then again we get the same thing with our beaches. Both with the sunburn and the rips that will just suck you out and poof you're gone! Gotta watch what to do with rips before you go swimming here. Or you know just swim in between the flags. But then again we have idiots here too that make stupid decisions too lol. Plus it never hurts to take a quick look up about where you are going to... Just to make sure you are good. Plus you might find something cool about the place you are going to! It didn't hurt to spend a few minutes to look up and just be sure before you go do something you aren't used to or that you don't do much lol.
I solo camped at -10 C and even with decent equipment I felt cold and woke once or twice at night. Cold weather is no joke, especially if it's also wet. Weather and injury are the two quickest things that will ruin your trip. 4 C isn't horrible but can definitely make you hypothermic if you're not prepared.
that's... because you weren't prepared. i grew up in a place where -40 C is normal in winter and we do 3-5 day winter ice fishing, sleeping in tents. If you dress properly, and have all the stuff you need (like blankets, but not those thin things, but 2 inch feather-filled ones, idk what they're called in english), you're golden, it's actually too hot at night and you start to kick the blanket off.
Ever since I watched Yuru camp, I always wanted to try winter camping but feared that the reality is gonna crash me 😂 I'm in Toronto Canada btw so winter here is at least -5 degree Celsius.
Bro I’m from Toronto too and tbh the last 10 years, our winters have averaged like -10. Even today and yesterday, it was -11c. Don’t get me started on the largest snowstorm in the city’s history since 1999, two days ago
-5? Ive literally camped in -25 The question is. Is it cheating to have a tent fitted with a wood stove or is that just a smart way of well.... not dying LOL
Oh So Toronto doesn't get as cold as Alberta? I stayed in Banff when I was 23... Did a work ski experience for 6 months (like all the other Aussies that make up ,3/4 of that place do lololol). And it got to -40 degrees lol. We went to Toronto for a week before we went home. We went New York, then Toronto so we could go to the good Niagara Falls lol, then Vancouver and then back to Sydney rofl. So how hot does Toronto get in summer? When we went there it was May, and we just left Banff which had finally gotten to 5 degrees lol. And then got to new York which was like ,18-20 degrees which was perfect weather! Then Toronto was like BAM heat wave! Mwhahaha! And it was I think only 26 degrees... Which in Australia if we had come from there to Toronto it would have been fine... But coming from Banff's -5 to 0 and sometimes 5 degrees which felt like spring/summer... To 26 degrees. It was awful lolol. Then by the time we flew back home Sydney was like 15 degrees which is winter there. And we were like bahahaha this is great! We don't feel it at all... Until we climatised again lol now we are back to being oh man 10 degrees is cold as hell! Lol. Like right now I live in Queensland. It's been 27 - 30 degrees at 80% - 90% humidity... It's been hot lol. And it dropped to 23 degrees today due to rain... At 66% humidity. I've been kinda hot warm all day cuz it was 28 degrees then. Now it's 23 degrees and my feet right now are freezing lol.... And I could get up to get a thin blanket rather than bothering to put longer pants on or a warmer shirt (thin shirts or singlet tops are all the go here) but I can't be arsed lol. So I'm here cold watching people complain about -5 degrees with camping weather. Lololol. If I'd been there like those guys I'd have frozen to death lol.
Right? I live in Minnesota and its regularly -20 before windchill. I was thinking they were out in like negative but it was still in the positives? Get out of here with your weak spoil city hides.
I used to go camping with my family in western Alberta during the winters. The temperature there would usually hit -30/-40 at night, so needless to say… that’s pretty warm
Having alcohol in extremely cold weather can actually be quite dangerous. Alcohol is a vaso-dilator which means it can cause you to get colder faster, but the more serious issue is that it causes you to stop shivering. People think that not shivering is a sign that they're warming up, but shivering is your body's first defense against cold as it increases your core temperature. Getting drunk in freezing temperatures would make you more susceptible to hypothermia.
When they started talking about condiments i head condoms instead Then Connor said that people forget to buy condoms while buying sousages and i was like nani?!
The most fun/drunkenest time I've ever had camping was in the winter. We bought this old cruddy camper for like 400$ tore it apart and fittied it with a bunch of foam and a wood stove. Some nights got down to -25⁰C LOL we didnt care. Just bring the beer in so it doesnt freeze hahaha.
For me winter time is never about the cold, I can be comfortable in a couple shirt and hoody in under 20 degrees farenheight, the issue is when the wind picks up that chill when you can start to feel shit going numb. When its a simple dead cold with no wind, even in 0 degree weather I can be fine. But about a week ago it was 6 degrees but it felt like -2 with the wind. That is when I struggle.
I was lucky enough to be able to go to Fuji during my vacation a few years ago. It was in the winter. I can confirm that Fuji does look photoshoped not only in photos but in real life.
Ahhh, cold camping. I'm way too familiar with it now. Was working at a wildfire containment camp on the edge of the nevada desert in fucking NOVEMBER, living out of a single person tent in a goat barn for 2 weeks, freezing my fucking ass off even in like 3 layers of clothes and a jacket, you just wake up and see the mountains covered in ice closing in around you. And working 16 hours a day for 2 weeks with no days off
@@matthew_natividad not snow, just a lot of ice. I was in like the perfect spot where when it rained it was JUST warm enough to not become snow. So between freezing my ass off on the dry days and being soaked through AND cold on rainy days it wasnt a picnic lol. Also the catering truck almost sunk into a mud field and the shower trailer was half underwater.
Tent camping in those temps with bad equipment is just asking for trouble. Coldest ive ever done was -25C but we were set up very well for it. We even had a wood burning stove.
@Crazwill An hour of research would have solved all their issues. Can't blame people for giving them crap when they couldn't do a simple google search.
im pretty sure the reason why its not as cold with snow, is because how humidty.. The snow basically dries out the air.. making the cold less permeable, wheres cold moist air cuts right through you..
It can be quite comfy to camp during winter, if you prepare PROPERLY. Which means, you get a at least middle range winter sleaping bag, an isolating mat and also dress accordingly. Camping can be quite chill and without much preperation, but most certainly not in winter. The anime literally openly teaches about this.
Watched the entire thing and don't think they properly mentioned the specifics of how they almost died :P Yes Garnt, Yuru Camp is comfy. No it didn't lie to you. Because it is comfy when you bring all the proper equipment to survive the cold (looking more at Connor with his Amazon sleeping bag). Clearly they didn't watch S2, or they'd know how easily things can go to shit if you go ill-equipped, although props to them for doing a weather check before going (not their fault it was quite a few degrees off from what it actually ended up being).
The reason why Snow dosen't feel as bad as "Frozen" is due to Waters natural thermal stability, which has some insulating properties. Also the reason igloos are a thing.
Connor you fail at life. Sausage sizzle are amazing! Bread is so much better than crappy hot dog buns, any day, any type. It's just better lol! And there's also an art to eating it. Don't put it along the rectangular way. Have it so the it's diagonal across the bread. Where as hot good buns are too thick, it's more bun than sausage. You don't get the butter meeting into the bread and just all melting together perfectly with a sausage sizzle. MmmMMmmm See you gotta butter the bread first. Put Tomato or BBQ sauce depending on what you're feeling.... Then put the grilled sausage on and close it up. It just melts all together and it's just perfection. sooooo good!! Yum 😋

This reminds me back in Boy Scouts when I went to Philmont Scout Ranch in northern New Mexico that was apart of the Rockies. I brought a thin layer blanket and managed to get pass shakedown they did for needed supplies and a sleeping bag was a needed on the list. My overconfidence thinking went "its New Mexico during the summertime. It aint gonna be that cold" It dropped down to the 20s Fahrenheit every night and all I had was thin breathable that barely offered me any warmth. Then one day it hailed bad and I think the temperatures dropped to the 10s. So I began to wear a rain jacket and rain pants to keep myself warm since the rest of my clothes got wet from the hail. Learned my lesson after that experience
@@JR-zi9vj well I would definitely say you missed out. Its one of those experiences you do and its complete ass torture for you yet is fun at the same time. You look back and laugh about it and glad you got to go but will never ever want to do that shit again. I, however, went twice. So did my brother unfortunately.
Does camping in sub tropical places you need different sleeping bag than camping on tropical mountain? Average 10-14 °C at night on mountain peak here. If you are dry, well coated, and well sheltered, with my current gear I could get a decent sleep. I assume I need different sleeping bag to sleep on snow?
In west Yorkshire where I live it's gets around 0 to -1c at night during winter and that's already blooming freezing. It's Scotland that supposed to be really freezing, they drop to almost -9c in certain areas 😬
And people call me crazy and weird for watching certain anime. I would much rather be that than like other people who go outside on a camping trip in negative degrees, let alone jumping and skydiving of cliff. Thats ridiculous. Thankfully there all safe though. I also love how when they were doing there own camping trip as friends and posted it, people on Twitter just assumed they were making a huge camping video. Goes to show being a content creator has its benefits and drawbacks, especially with fanbase.
Yeah I wouldn't compare those two hobbies. One can be absolutely life changing and shouldn't be reduced to be compared to hobbies like reading, watching tv shows, or casually gaming
These guys need to invest in a military sleep system or at the very least, a woobie and a poncho. Trust me when I say that it will make your life a lot easier in colder temperatures.
A slice of bread loses to more toppings than just mustard and ketchup on a hot dog, and the whole point is to build a synergy of relishes and sauerkraut to obliterate the flavor of the hot dog.
I camped in the utah desert during the winter against my will for 3 months, shit was like -14 c on a good night. Long story short, wilderness therapy is a load of bs.

My overconfidence thinking went "its New Mexico during the summertime. It aint gonna be that cold"
It dropped down to the 20s Fahrenheit every night and all I had was thin breathable that barely offered me any warmth. Then one day it hailed bad and I think the temperatures dropped to the 10s. So I began to wear a rain jacket and rain pants to keep myself warm since the rest of my clothes got wet from the hail. Learned my lesson after that experience
I always heard nutty stories about philmont but never got to go ;/
@@JR-zi9vj well I would definitely say you missed out. Its one of those experiences you do and its complete ass torture for you yet is fun at the same time. You look back and laugh about it and glad you got to go but will never ever want to do that shit again. I, however, went twice. So did my brother unfortunately.
Watched the RV livestream, can confirm Connor loves his Glizzies! Also I completely forgot Connor's beard here was so much thicker than it is now.
The bois: almost died from an explosion and hypothermia
Also the bois: "It's a youtuber we almost died"
Connor looks like Tom Hardy in this
Does camping in sub tropical places you need different sleeping bag than camping on tropical mountain? Average 10-14 °C at night on mountain peak here. If you are dry, well coated, and well sheltered, with my current gear I could get a decent sleep. I assume I need different sleeping bag to sleep on snow?
The boys went camping and didn't even bring Tapatio.
Hot Sauce and fancy mustard a must for every outdoor experience.
I’m pretty sure mudan bring Dijon mustard is that fancy enough?
One burger one hotdog infinite beers, that’s the way to do it
2:02 - 2:08 what's up with that accent moment there LMAO
In true Trash Taste fashion, they -argued- talked more about the food they ate than how their camping actually went like.
next trash taste special, hot dog eating competition
Camping subathon would be lit
As an Australian I agree, there's too much bread in a hot dog bun, a slice is perfect amount of bread to sausage ratio
Hahahahahahaha try sleeping in -30 degrees Celsius. 🇨🇦
So, Connor's the same off camera as on camera, Confirmed.
There was a comment, but it was stolen by evil wolves
In west Yorkshire where I live it's gets around 0 to -1c at night during winter and that's already blooming freezing. It's Scotland that supposed to be really freezing, they drop to almost -9c in certain areas 😬
What kind of hotdogs do they eat were the sausage is smaller than the bread?
"Snow isn't that cold"
Lol fuckin Connor. It's frozen water my dude, it literally IS even that cold. Lol goddamn I love these guys.
Ayyyooo We got some glizzy gobblers over here
Someone was royally pissed with the experience.
snag on bread bunnings style is always better than a hotdog bun
9:48
Folding a slice of bread around a sausage is criminal, which is fitting for an Australian...
Now try doing that in any part of Pensylvania.
Hotdog buns are way too thick, Connor is huffing copium like mad
I refuse to go down to level of these Clowns 😂
I think you could cook the egg on the grill if you cracked it onto a burger patty that is almost done.
These guys need to invest in a military sleep system or at the very least, a woobie and a poncho. Trust me when I say that it will make your life a lot easier in colder temperatures.
i had gotten used to beardless connor, and now im looking at bearded Connor, and im thinking wow he is looking good
Is the camping a video somewhere?
A slice of bread loses to more toppings than just mustard and ketchup on a hot dog, and the whole point is to build a synergy of relishes and sauerkraut to obliterate the flavor of the hot dog.
Totally agree with hotdog buns being too much bread to meat ratio!
That's why the double dog bun born.
@@Djinn_Entonic no lol. It's nothing compared to a sausage sizzle. Trust me. It's just so much better lol
@@Kewlausgirl personally I am fine with the original ratio mainly because in my country we put A Lot of toppings
Same with meat to rice
Trash taste.
That eva figure at the back just standing there is a waste of the poseability that the manufacturers made
All bread tastes the same! 🤣
You almost died.
Look where Dark Timeline left ya.
Seems like Garnt would need a lot of help.
People all saying that the boys are weak from the temps, but they just weren't prepared. Too focused on their food and beer haha
Connor officially a part of the glizzy gobble gang
I camped in the utah desert during the winter against my will for 3 months, shit was like -14 c on a good night. Long story short, wilderness therapy is a load of bs.
Connor with a beard looks v nice 👍
Connor in any form of very nice
13:40 The Glizzy Gobbler challenge
Not gonna lie, the name Garnt sounds like the name of an anime protagonist. This man got isekai'd by truck-kun and came to bless us with his presence.
I became a huge youtuber in my new life?!
Buddy Heater, get a Buddy Heater. Best thing to make a night comfortable!
Man trying to melt butter, cook an egg. Might as well try to find a rock, heat up the Rock, and cook on the rock
Its about -21 with the wind chill here in toronto 🤦♂️, -5 would be a god send right now
Yuru Camp gone wrong
Does Nabi have any social media acc that I can follow?
