NO! Play Fran Bow instead. That miami junk is just 10 years old newground flash games with lcd color painting. Play an old shoot em up like the Painkiller franchise, Serious sam franchise, Blood or play some Quake 1, it's a wonderful h.p lovecraft style game for challenge and gameplay you can't find in any other game, recommend playing it on hard definitely for the old form of horror in lack of ammo, low health and enemies around every corner, especially in hard difficulty
imo the endless hallway is pure fear. I feel like this fits the medium between being slightly nervous and about to have a breakdown. The repeating notes that drone on but don't grate on your ears, the unsettling trumpet noise, and the general mood really make it for me in this song.
Y'know when it comes to remixes of this song one of the things I've noticed is how a lot of people try to "fix" it, which imo turns me off of a lot of the remixes, part of what makes Pepper steak so good, to me, at least, is how chaotic and broken it sounds

for me this is the perfect battle for theme for a game like OFF, it truly exemplifies how powerful The Batter is, this one guy with a baseball bat taking on dozens of specters at once and coming out on top, it's why the NPCs in OFF get surprised when you defeated them, The Batter is just that much a force to be reckoned with.
You know, i'm still kind of amazed at just how good OFF's soundtrack is. Like, you'd think after a year of two, the novelty of Pepper Steak would wear off and you wouldn't care anymore. But i've been listening to this song at least once monthly on my playlist since I first heard it 7 years ago. I remember listening to this in 7th grade and thinking "Aw man, this is song sounds swag as hell." - Keep in mind, I had no idea what OFF was, other than knowing that a baseball player and a weird man in a cat mask was apart of it. I had only seen snip-bits of what OFF was through only those characters. And now I come back to this video with full knowledge about this fantastic game. I've seriously hyper-fixated on this amazing F-RPG once I finally found out the story and watched multiple playthroughs of it. OFF will always now stay in my heart as one huge thanks to Mortis Ghost for this wonderful game. :3

Play an old shoot em up like the Painkiller franchise, Serious sam franchise, Blood or play some Quake 1, it's a wonderful h.p lovecraft style game for challenge and gameplay you can't find in any other game, recommend playing it on hard definitely for the old form of horror in lack of ammo, low health and enemies around every corner, especially in hard difficulty

imo the endless hallway is pure fear. I feel like this fits the medium between being slightly nervous and about to have a breakdown. The repeating notes that drone on but don't grate on your ears, the unsettling trumpet noise, and the general mood really make it for me in this song.

Y'know when it comes to remixes of this song one of the things I've noticed is how a lot of people try to "fix" it, which imo turns me off of a lot of the remixes, part of what makes Pepper steak so good, to me, at least, is how chaotic and broken it sounds

for me this is the perfect battle for theme for a game like OFF, it truly exemplifies how powerful The Batter is, this one guy with a baseball bat taking on dozens of specters at once and coming out on top, it's why the NPCs in OFF get surprised when you defeated them, The Batter is just that much a force to be reckoned with.
this track is probably the best one. There's a lot of good ones, but there's a pretty damn good reason why this one is the most iconic

You know, i'm still kind of amazed at just how good OFF's soundtrack is. Like, you'd think after a year of two, the novelty of Pepper Steak would wear off and you wouldn't care anymore. But i've been listening to this song at least once monthly on my playlist since I first heard it 7 years ago.

Although maybe you will get your wish as people are already drawing comics based on the game, some even detailing a comic view of a play through of the game itself. I remember listening to this in 7th grade and thinking "Aw man, this is song sounds swag as hell." - Keep in mind, I had no idea what OFF was, other than knowing that a baseball player and a weird man in a cat mask was apart of it. I had only seen snip-bits of what OFF was through only those characters. And now I come back to this video with full knowledge about this fantastic game. I've seriously hyper-fixated on this amazing F-RPG once I finally found out the story and watched multiple playthroughs of it. OFF will always now stay in my heart as one huge thanks to Mortis Ghost for this wonderful game. :3
