Thanks Luke and only five of us were there to see the double header which was amazing considering the hoards at the other locations. Nice to see you as well. Regards, John
Liam, Thurcaston was a great spot and we were the first to arrive but amazingly only three others turned up for the double header. Until the next time. Regards, John
We definately all chose the best day John. Lovely footage and a great vantage point on the single section which is usually less featured. The double header was stunning from both angles too. Liked the low angle at Kinchley Lane, a nice change of viewpoint. Regards, Brian.
Brian, Yes the weather was exceptionally good and lasted all day. We opted for Thurcaston thinking it would be quiet and we hit the jackpot as there was no one there. Just a few turned up for the double header. We then banked on Kinchley Lane becoming accessible after the double header which again worked and we ended our day there and we were the last out. A great day and my PC was ready for collection earlier today. Regards, John
@GreatBritishRailways1 yes, I noticed an exodus from the 'compound' at the setting back signal so nipped in for a few shots i didnt expect to get.lol. I think the majority were on the move so it payed off being a tail ender. Glad you got the PC back sooner rather than later.👍
Cracking video John. Good performance from the Grange.
Nicely filmed John. Love the shot of the double header. As always a pleasure to see you and Andy.
