Hot Stamping and Screen Printing for Glass Decoration

Marabu has developed UV-curable primers which simulate the gloss of precious metals. This combination of screen printing and hot stamping results in high gloss metallic effects which are absolutely comparable to precious metals, at a much lower price.
Any favoured design can simply be printed with Ultra Glass UVGL Primers on the glass surface. The printed motif then acts as a cliché for the hot stamping foil which is applied by roll-on or stroke stamping, and only adheres to the areas where UVGL Primer is applied before.

Hi and very sorry for the late reply. It depends on the thickness of the glass. Since there is some pressure by the hot stamping machine on the glass it may crack. But it is possible.

How does this in multicolor work?

You can print your multicolor image and then combine it with hotstamping. Or you can use different coloured foils (any color possible).

Is this hot stamping or cold foil? It looks like cold foil to me because of the primer.

Hi, for hot stamping you also need a primer. The required image or text is screen-printed onto the glass surface with Marabu UltraGlass UVGL primer, serving as a type of cliche for the hot foil. The foil is transferred onto the pre-printed ink film, either through roll-on stamping or vertical stamping - the foil only adheres to the areas that were primed with UVGL.
