What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for TH-cam, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! The new bat seems to be getting the job done much better than the old! Red hand-trucks give you mechanical parts when you wrench them, same as the big red wheels on pipes.
FYI - Keep an eye open for a large public library POI that spawns in cities. It's a remnant, so no trader will send you there. It has a locked loot room with several piles of books/magazines, plus bookshelves and file cabinets throughout the whole building. (edit: typo)
The full set bonus for the Assassin armour makes zombies stop chasing you the second they lose line of sight, its pretty OP.

Been playing the game since 2014-15 or so with the same guys, absolutely love it. Last night we had our second horde night, we got 4 demolishers!! Second horde night, not that far along in the game!! We have not done horde nights for a long time preferring improved hordes and dangerous cities because it’s more random keeping us in our toes. Horde nights are noooo joke in this game anymore and thank god I learned from your videos they go until daylight. Keep up the great content!!

I would highly recommend AGF Hud plus mod its updated for 1.0 gives you a better food and water bar also shows what p.o.i's the quest are for without having to click on every quest. liking the videos
I've clicked a few of your videos thinking they were highlighting a specific poi or something about a vehicle but it ended up being a playthrough. Sneaky sneaky
I just did this one the other day! Really considering upping the "wilderness POI" setting when making a world, some of these are super fun and cool to run into

I had to share this it was to hilarious... I watch your videos a lot at work and I keep my Captions on in case it gets loud in my office. When you did your intro "this is Kage 848" the captions said "Cage A for Effort"
Honestly, Steel Tools are WAY better than iron tools, and I have tested it in 1.0. Even at quality 1. The best food are Gumbo and Spaghetti, but they require canned food. Hobo is pretty good but requires rotten meat which is not renewable, Steak and Potatoes and Meat stew are the best renewable food, with Meat Stew giving +20 water but requiring water to craft, but both require hunting. Vegetable Stew is the best food that is made entirely out of things you can farm.
You say you're struggling with gas, but pass up gas barrels? Like 3:55

idk if it matters too much but the nerd armor skill sounds different from the regular book reading sound. sounds like a couple pages being flicked through when it pops or at least sounds that way to me. in case anyone missed the number pop up or is only one book
@Kage all barrels have gas now, from what I've found.
Love the assassin hood (sneak damage) and gloves (attack speed w/ knives)and the Rouge armor (-noise, +crouch speed). Shoes I usually go with the one that gives me added running speed (forget the name, maybe commando?) for when sneaking goes wrong 😝 I’m probably going to try to go for the full Assassin set on stream ☺️
OP BUILD : Head = Raider -100% stun
Armor = Preacher Resist undead
Gloves = Preacher damage to undead
Boots = any speed %
This is my build and its insane, not getting stunned and having the screen go all blurry makes close quarters a doddle.
Combined with an Agility build and nothing stands a chance.
IF you are running a Melee heavy build (clubs, or fists) Go with the full quality 6 Raiders set (-100 stun, 60% melee damage, 50% crit healing, -fall damage(the weakest part) and 45% crit injury resistance for the whole set bonus).
@@ShrapnelJoe Yes, if that's your play style. If you do play a brawler build then i'd go with the knuckles over the club because you really don't need the range the clubs give you and the knuckles do the most damage out of the melee weapons.
@@Enigmatic.. I am running the Set with an Int build atm and its working quite well. The tankiness of the set paired with the Stun batons AOE knockback and AOE stun(with nerd tats) is very strong.
I noticed you harvest the goo piles but not the corpses or body bags...?
You really need to pay more attention to your surroundings, you keep missing good loot that is right in front of you, missed a medicine pile in the first tent, missed an ammo pile in the second tower, you should check clothes piles a chance for armor parts and legendary parts, 18:39 destroyed an ammo pile, this is just what I noticed, haven't done that POI yet.
They are right about fixing your armor, you take more damage if it's weakened.
Urban combat volume 5 is the book that makes it so you can walk over land mines, I don't think you have it.
The explosion was a scripted event, not a land mine, probably barrels, though sometimes it's a car, it's to simulate the pipes blowing.
So ive found, mass grinding resources gets the most bang for your buck, my world i mass mined like 18000 stone, sold half to rekt and other half to jenn
The game some decent balance this update. Quests dont give OP weapons/armor plus crazy amount of dukes. No more selling gear for insane amounts of money.
Gotta focus on builds, gotta go out and get resources to sell for money. Crafting is actually needed again.
The trader isnt the one stop get OP shop anymore. All thats left is for them to fix the overly abundant food and water.
Im loving this update since it fixed alot of the terrible balance issues this game has had for so many years.
Rouge hood gives you better loot :) could keep it on ya for end loot if you dont wanna wear it all the time.
I think it's worth going for the quality 2 now and skipping quality 3. You get an extra mod slot at quality 4, but 2 and 3 have the game amount of slots. I'd say 3 is just not worth it as it's more expensive than 2 for little gain compared to 4.

fastest way to make money in my opinion --- 3 stacks of stone , 3 stacks of iron, 3 stacks of wood, 9 x 1200 chips you get if you sell them to the tgrader. he only will buy 3 stacks per

I'll be interested to see you check out Grover High, one of the new tier 5 pois. I ran out of ammo at this site and had to retreat. I'll try it again with better guns and more ammo. The 4+ screamers that showed up were a real pain considering they brought more irradiated zombies with them than I've seen in a long time...
Mechanical Parts can be found by breaking down blue mailboxes.
That's different. You had to back track into the POI to get back to the loot room. I don't think I've ever seen that before.
Man Kage, I would definitely look to see if you have that book, not just trust that you can walk over landmines lol

The duke's in 1.0 are not easy to come by. I've went with a totally different route in my play through. I sell every book and magazine that does not help my skill tree, instead of reading everything.

You can see the story telling they're trying to do. A survivalist family eventually over run and turned into zombies. An emergency room over run. A military checkpoint. They don't always nail it but they're trying with the POIs.
