- in this video we are cleaning out sheds and hauling the dung to tillage ground away from the yard, we are using our MF 6499 and a FRIENDS DUMP TRAILER!

Phil fill the tractor with diesel before you start and re fill it when you are finished and compare the litres of diesel used versus what the tractor computer says.

With the hydraulics on the Tractor you may have to set the flow for the spools on the computer to allow you to use them with the computer

Hello Phil. Good video as always. Just wondered why not use a silage trailer to cart the muck? I always found dump trailers a bit small for muck carting. As if I remember rightly the peat was delivered in a silage trailer. .
biggest problem for us is our silage trailers wont hold sloppy dung as itll flow through the tail crate and the trailer that delivers peat doesnt belong to us and the lad that owns it doesnt want it hauling dung

Good video but I don’t recommend tipping trailers with rear window open, hose may burst and cover you and cab with oil.

Probably flow rates have to be adjusted for spools and wheel size probably differs from factory settings for km travelled

We got our tractors dynoed by Agri tune
fill the tank till it overflows .........work for a few hours and refill with 20liter drums and you will get a good idea what it is burning and hou true the computer is on the tractor .........

Would you not be safer using the silage trailers to draw the dung
Air brakes on the broughan dump trailer, only hydraulic brakes on the silage trailers I think and you can only do 40k with hydraulic brakes

i dont think it would be any safer, none of our silage trailers can draw the milled peat dung as if its sloopy it will flow through the tailcrate
@@tonee4227 there is some law that if you are doing over 40k you have to have air brakes, it's a load of shit but that's the stuff these department fellas come up with

The Farm handler is smaller and more removable and more fuel efficient
because its broke bust a pipe for the hydralics
Are electric spools better than mechanical
Not really any big difference, no difference in flow or anything like that it's just I think if theres a lot of pressure in the hydraulic pipe it wont stay pumping and wear out the pump, if you leave a manual spool on then it wont stop pumping and will wear out the pump if there's too much pressure until you put it into float or bring it back to the middle, I'm not a big fan at all of electrics as it's only things to go wrong, can put a spanner onto the tractor if anything goes wrong with it if its manual
theres no real difference except for electrics are more likely to let you down as the tractor gets older
So if you get paid more for a bullock than a bull why are you not snapping a rubber band around them calfs nuts when they show up on your farm. Probably cost less to feed them up to weight and a lot safer to work with
In theory a bull will finish first as the will mature earlier due to high testosterone levels they will have higher LWG than bullocks so u can get them away a lot earlier than bullocks as they will be fit to kill earlier.
When I asked Phil Do you make better money on a bull or a bullocks and is there a big difference between there weights. His answer was: There is a difference in weights but you get paid more for a bullock than a bull so it works out about the same. So your response makes a lot of sense Thanks
