This is Rory at his TOP, i saw him three times later in the late eighties and in the nineties and also his last but one performens in Holland. Stage Struck was his best official album. He was working so hard that you think there is a band of six people playing.

Was coming up back in the day around the time of this recording. But only discovered Rory about 5 months ago and I was hooked! The man was right down my alley then and now. I drive a big truck around Texas every night for about 8 hours and have listened to this at least 100 times. Sounds just as fresh and relevant on 99th time as the 1st. He definitely put his heart and soul into every note! Strap in and hold on for a magic ride.

Crazy good compilation upload...thank you RGR. Crazy little info on the sources from which the songs performed are obtained! What is the Venue show! Any location info on the '81 tour selections. Very much like the set as compiled, kind of a best of live Rory, and the edit work is first rate. A little thing correction that I'm surprised got by you...it's A Million Miles Away not One... All the best...keep Roryin' on!
You're welcome, the venue show is from 1979 - recorded by the BBC if you search "rory gallagher venue 1979" it should come up. Thanks for the correction don't know how I missed that.
Well, you were probably busy mining more gems from the vaults! I do have a question about the picture, at the bottom right there is a banner claiming over 75 minutes of music, yet the run time on this is seconds shy of 70 minutes. How is that? Is a song missing?
