I'd suggest checking his TH-cam channel, his name is Jonathan Petromala. He's saying that the Islanders desperately need help to rebuild, and his videos definitely back that up.

We've had very limited contact with those on island. Theres nothing left. The houses we grew up in are all gone. The island need tents tarps and shelter just as much as food and water. Theres likely another weather system with lots of rain following.
