Can’t let the story stew for a couple weeks? I’ve been a big fan of AEW since the start but I have to say most you fans are deluded af. The roster is bloated as it is so TK surprising us with another signee does nothing as the hype rarely lasts with this product. TK needs to book his current roster better, cut out the nobodies that are just jobbed out in predictable matches… and quit it with the monthly ‘special announcements’ because the excitement of a ‘surprise’ debut or the booking of the 100th match with stipulation in a week loses its magic… (imo)
She is a draw, but to compare her to CM Punk is unfair. Said the same thing a few weeks ago. The comparisons to Edge and Punk is just simply setting her (and anyone else that’s not WWE legend Alumni) up to fail as they simply won’t compare to the star power. Undisputed Kingdom give me Dark Order pre-Brodie vibes. There’s no heat, they’re losing constantly. Taven, Bennet and Strong are still kinda comedy goofball jobbers playing heel, so with no Wardlow and no Cole, they’re really weak. When Cole comes back, if he can stay healthy, I think we’ll see it become something more.

I personally really appreciate the slow burn of Mercedes’ intro into AEW, I think if and when she turns on Willow it’ll feel like a bigger deal from all this seed planting. I think also introducing 3 huge megastars all at the same time has its own challenges, but i do think they’re handling it well so far. I will say, putting her on commentary was definitely a misstep. She had no candour with Taz or Excalibur, and the awkward moments kind of took me out of what I thought was a great match.

They run AEW and keep swerve out of the title picture whether it's through injury or some other means and we get to all in and have a callis family vs the elite narrative for the show, takeshita vs okada, Aussie open vs bucks, and ospreay vs hangman where ospreay wins in the main event. While this happens Danielson either wins a number one contenders match or wins a major match at all in and challenges ospreay on dynamite for a title match at all out in his last match before retirement. Danielson wins because callis turns on will and Danielson aligns with the callis family and it starts a civil war between callis and united empire. Danielson becomes the first real part time champion only showing up one or two weeks and for ppvs while callis is the main figure on TV and at worlds end swerve is finally crowned AEW world champion beating Danielson and being the guy going into 2025.
She's a marquee talent and being treated as such, she's not going to do an Ospreay and wrestle every week. A marquee talent means every match they have is special, an occasion, (See her entire Japan run)
Only thing is… to be labeled a ‘marquee talent’ you need to have proven drawing power. Her highly marketed debut in her home town had 0 impact on the viewership, infact the numbers were a bit lower than average. So to call her a ‘marquee talent’ is false

So when Cm punk came to WWE in November we didn’t see him wrestle all the way until the end of January in the Royal rumble that’s a total of 2 1/2 months none of you guys said anything about CM punk being talkative and boring but when AEW and Mone do it ,it’s a problem
