    After several mock drafts, the best stragedy is getting an elite RB, WR and TE in the first 3 rounds. So much talk about RB dead zone, I think there is a also WR dead zone after the 5th round. If I have an Elite RB and WR, I can live with drafting someone like Houston RB Pierce or Dallas WR Cooks in the later rounds.

    I have to disagree about not drafting your own hand cuff. I understand the logic that if BR goes down, you probably won’t win the league. In a pinch, if BR misses one or two games, having his handcuff can save your week. That value is underrated imo.

    • @ryandouglas8382

    • @dillonabro
      @dillonabro 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@SlippyFlicks yes, a handcuff running back is your starting running back’s backup. For example, if you have christian mccaffery on your team, it is worth drafting Elijiah Mitchell later on in your draft. That way if mccaffery gets hurt and misses a month of football, you can plug in his backup, Mitchell. Mitchell will get Mccaffery’s workload while he is out. It is like an insurance policy for your top running back. Hope that helps.

    12 team, SF, start 10, best ball startup, I drew the dreaded 1.12 pick.
    Saw Josh Allen on the board at pick 4, and traded picks 1.12 and 2.1 for 1.4 and 6.9
    Bonus points for long TDs and big rushing, receiving, and passing games, plus .2 for rushing 1st down. Allen seemed like a no brainer.
    First 11 picks were 9 QBs, Jefferson, and Chase. No top QB in sight like I figured.
    Messages in the chat were saying it was a very lopsided trade, and 1 guy suggested I use rotoballer trade calculator in the future.

    Most of the time the rest of the draft dictates what you pick unless the whole position is decimated. Better to get a top receiver than second or third tier RB.

    The research is good but it directly contradicts your strategy for RBs and WRs. The table at 9:45 shows the 2016 draft as the closest comparison to this year…which is conveniently not charted

    Sound logic and thought process. Great vid! Appreciate you. Excited to see what values my opponents provide me with. In our 10 team full PPR I’m finding great value in going onesie position in 3rd & 5th…possible Andrews / Lamar stack if it falls right.

    • @Financial_Awareness
      @Financial_Awareness 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FantasyStockExchange - perhaps. From all the mocks that I’ve done (not the same as a home league live draft), the cost at 3-4 is too much. Only good value if it falls 3/5…too many good options at RB/WR in the 4th to go back to back onesie…in 10-team league mocks that is. IMO of course.

    • @Financial_Awareness
      @Financial_Awareness 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@FantasyStockExchange - checking back in! I found out about an hour before the draft that I was drafting from the 9th. Went Barkley then Diggs…gave up the option of then going Olave/Gibbs on the 3/4 turn and decided to scoop up M.Andrews/Lamar instead. One of only 3 teams to walk away from the draft with a QB/receiver stack. Found value in later rounds when quality players fell.
      Thought about your comment and it gave me confidence to go 3/4 turn…so thank you for the encouragement! Hope it pays off! Lol

    Yeah I honestly don’t know what to think about this advice. Dual threat backs like Ekeler help many win their leagues. I think you have to understand your draft position and draft according to your strategy and be able to change it up based on who others are drafting.
    I sometimes bag multiple elite players at a position to use for trading - ie QBs later on.

    • @FantasyStockExchange
      @FantasyStockExchange  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah that’s a fair take, appreciate the feedback - dual threat backs can cook hence why I was unable to pass on Bijan and Pollard
