(THIS ONE TURNED INTO YET *ANOTHER* WHOPPER, ENJOY!!!- I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED WRITING THIS-) remember the timeline where Dream ate the apple..? whatever happened to him? this is part of the STORY of that whole debacle, now... *a r e y o u r e a d y t o b e g i n . . ?* "two months previous..." *'The dark, viscous liquid that had consumed his brother so long ago soon began to do the same to Dream, till he was completely covered, four tentacles extending from his back, suddenly, a portal could be heard opening, a gasp of recognition, disbelief, and even regret was also heard, Dream looked up, a wide smirk growing on his now goop covered face, he locked eyes with the newcomer and said "Hello brother."' Nightmare fell to his knees as the portal closed, the goop covering his form slowly beginning to drip away and fade, leaving him as he had been before eating the apples "D-Dream.. n-no... why..? Dream just smirked, stood and portaled away, though Nightmare knew full well he'd see his brother again... and it wouldn't end well.... *"P R E S E N T D A Y"* "Mayday! Mayday! the ship is slowly sinking." Yanberry's insane smirk widened as he mocked the latest person who dared flirt with his senpai, holding them at knife-point with a murderous glint in his sockets "They think I'm crazy but they don't know the feeling!" he added in his head as he swiftly ended any chance of his person taking his senpai from him. "They're all around me, circling like vultures." Ink muttered to himself as he sat alone in the doodle sphere, slowly becoming insane from how many new A.U.s were being created by the creators all at once, due to all the recent free-time in their world because of some illness going around or some such "They wanna break me and *wash away my colors- WASH AWAY MY COLORS-*" a portal opened, but ink took no notice, unable to tear his mind away from all the *goddamn voices.* walking up to Ink and subtly creating a mental block with his magic, Dream, now Shattered placed a hand on the muttering skeleton's shoulder, gaining Ink's attention, and a 'new' ally *"Hello old friend."* Shattered said with a smirk. *"TAKE ME AWAY AND I'LL SING OH YOU MAKE EVERYTHING OKAY OKAY OKAY, KAY OKAY OKAY"* now working together, Ink and Shattered 'resumed their old jobs' 'protecting' the multiverse, 'spreading positivity' though now, in their newfound insanity, 'protecting' turned to tyrannical ruling, and 'spreading positivity' turned into spreading hopes and dreams far to high for ANYONE to reach, let alone aspire to, so spreading despair and hopelessness throughout the multiverse, whilst also ruthlessly and mercilessly hunting down Error, Nightmare, and his gang. *"WE ARE ONE IN THE SAME OH YOU TAKE ALL OF THE PAIN AWAY AWAY AWAY, 'WAY AWAY AWAY"* Ink, now dependent on Shattered to keep all the voices from assaulting him, or so he thought, worked closely with the goopy skeleton now, completely believing they were still the good guys, no matter HOW they did what they had to do. *"SAVE ME IF I BECOME MY DEMONS"* even Yanberry joined them, once more completing the formerly incomplete 'star sanses' though no one ever called them that anymore.. Yanberry would sometimes have instances where, when he'd secretly be alone with his senpai, Dust, the only time he felt relatively sane anymore, he would come out of his insanity altogether for short periods, though they hardly ever lasted long. "I cannot stop this, sickness taking over.. it takes control and, drags me into nowhere... I need your help! I can't fight this forever!!" then Yanberry would go back into his insanity, and forget those moments of clarity, now again aware of the creators watching his every move, be it with pity, or encouragement.. "I know you're watching, I can feel you out there." a week or two after a most recent moment of clarity for Yan, they were now in a vicious battle with Error, Nightmare, and his gang, which the Fallen stars were currently winning, Shattered had Nightmare in his clutches, Ink had Error Cross and Horror trapped in paint, and Yanberry had Killer and Dust in powerful Blue attacks, then Nightmare, feeling like he knew the only way to get to his misguided brother, began to sing. 'Take me high and I'll sing Oh you make everything okay, okay, okay 'Kay, Okay, Okay We are one in the same Oh you take all of the pain away, away, away 'Way, away, away Save me if I become My demons' that last line struck a chord in Yanberry, a moment of clarity struck him, and he quickly released Killer and Dust, shouting for Dust to hold him down, his own self now belting 'TAKE ME OVER THE WALLS BELOW FLY FOREVER DON'T LET ME GO I NEED A SAVIOR TO HEAL MY PAIN WHEN I BECOME MY WORST ENEMY THE ENEMY!!' before relapsing back to his insanity once more and trying to get away from Dust, without hurting him of course. Nightmare continued to sing that chorus twice more, his lavender eyelights never leaving the now singular, and currently frozen golden one of his brother, Dream... "Dream... please come back to me.. you... YOU'VE BECOME YOUR DEMONS!!!" Nightmare shouted, now squinching his socket's shut, bracing himself for something, anything really, a blow to the head, a slap in the face, an insane cackle, but.. nothing happened, all was silent, looking up at Shattered, he saw the self-horror in his corrupted brother's eye. Shattered then, coming back to himself hastily stepped back releasing Nightmare from his tentacles hold as if he'd been burned, eye wide and eyelight near nonexistent as he murmured *"What have I done...?"* before grabbing Ink as if in a daze and portaling away, though not before Nightmare shouted "I LOVE YOU BROTHER! *AND I FORGIVE YOU!!!!-"*
