Those babies tails flagging while theyre nursing is just too adorable 😀🐐. I think we need to count the times you replayed him butting the barn and have a viewers contest on it. Its sweet how Houston helps out and follows you every step of the way. The boy is being raised right. My daughter bottle raised a baby we bought at the sale barn when she was about 12 yrs old. Charlie grew up and we gave him to her teacher that had about 50 goats. We stopped to visit every time i took her to work her horse. She called his name and he would come running and hollering for her. Hang up an old tire for big boy. or a big bucket or a big red ball from tractor supply. Hes just bored. Lol
As breeders of American Blackbelly sheep, we understand about uncastrated males and the destruction on the farmstead. Our solution is a butting post. Put 3 t-posts into the ground close together and stack tires over the t-posts to about 5 ft. Our rams loved charging the butting post while the ewes used it as a scratching post.
Aw Houston still had that baby look back then. He has grown into a fine young man now. This reminded me of the time we were trying to herd a new calf my dad bought into the barn when my brother grabbed hold of it’s tail. He set out on an overland skiing trip and was having fun until the calf started running downhill on the terraced pasture. He was airborne. He lost it and rolled head over heel all the way to the fence. Good thing the fence was there or he would have rolled into the paved road! Thanks for the laugh Daniel!

Awesome editing job. Just the right amount of head butting to keep it absolutely hilarious!! 😂. It’s the Rancher’ Waltz, chasing around that last animal that doesn’t want to follow the herd. So frustrating!!! But funny to watch 😜
Jerk Face is one handsome buck!! I love how when you were trying to get him and the wether into the barn and close the gate, you called your goats and they all ran! That's the ultimate respect! I sort of have a Jerk Face, but I raise fainting goats, so when my buck head butts something, he faints! Not too bright!! I wish you all the best and I'm grateful I found your channel!
Oh my! You just crack me up with your goat and cow names! I love your channel! I live in OK too & may want to buy a couple goats next year. Gotta get set up 1st. Stay safe out there keeping us law abiding citizens safe & keep making these videos coz I learn a lot watching them.
@@kevinlee9429 Mr Kevin, I think your a bit mixed up with your comments. I do rescue with dogs and some felines. All my pets live in my house and NEVER EVER LIVED OUTDOORS OR IN A CAGE. I would never adopt a pet to anyone with No fenced in yard and going to leave the dog outdoors. Not on my watch. They all get their teeth cleaned once a yr, on heart meds, flea prevention, flu shot etc etc. These poor dogs in this video are always scratching.
Have you try using salt blocks on crazy eyes? My parents are from Laos and they would tame their cows using regular table salt. Everyday when they take the cows to pasture, they would hand feed them salt. The cows learn to come when call, because they would get salt, pets and food. Try getting a salt block and stick it onto the fence or somewhere and let crazy eyes go at it. And then everyday when you go to greet the her bring the salt block with you. You’ll have crazy eyes following you around like bear in no time. patience is key.
I agree! You may find it was the Iodine in the salt that calmed your parents cattle. When my parents were farming they had a vet that recommended iodine for any behavioral issues with there animals and it really did help. Dad had a heading dog that had too much energy. He was sheparding on hill country and that little dog would work the stock all morning, then when Dad came home for lunch, she would run, non stop around the house. Heading dogs are high energy, but this was not normal. She literally wore a dirt track around the house. When the vet came to the farm, dad told him about his heading dog and the vet recommended Iodine. He injected it into the muscle as a slow release. It worked! The heading dog calmed down and was easier to train and manage in general. She was a brilliant little heading dog for dad. Another mineral to try is magnesium. That can be calming for the cattle. New Zealand farmers put magnesium onto their pastures for the stock to eat as it is a mineral naturally lacking in our soils. It is an important mineral.
And the farmers amongst us have all had days like this. This simplest of jobs becomes a real trial of patience, persistence and pure profanity. But.......the victory is sweet.

Oh my gosh.... I love y’all. And when I read this heading it really caught my eye. I just had to get rid of my beautiful Buck last week after he attacked me. He was trying to get at my doe who was in heat as I was locking up her pin. And seeing as we are in the city and can only have two goats we decided to keep the runt from this last set of babies because he just melted all of our hearts. Anyways getting back to your heading anytime my Buck Paco would act up I would yell at him and call him jerk face n the name caught on her at the house. Happy to say he is now living it up on a farm and can be his goaty self. And I will have our runt wethered.

He likes the sound of it as he pounds on the aluminum, and knows HE is making it. He needs his own pen. He will get his horns caught in that cow fencing. You need small squares type of fencing and a buck needs an electric fence. You will end up cutting your fence to get him out of it. Give him a beach ball to smack around - he's bored. Bucks need "toys" things to jump up on and things to smack around. When they buck - to them that is play ! If he bucks at you he's playing with you ! I woudl always chain my goat in a shaded area where he had quite enough space but he could not reach anything he could destory. Never let kids near a buck. A buck could do great damage to a child while he's "playing" with them. Especially if they have horns - those horns could kill ! All goats need to be debudded at 3 days old. IT's too late after the 6th day when the horns attach to the skull ! 4 days old is the last day I'd de-bud. And never use a calf dehorning iron - only use a special goat iron. Calf iron burns into the brain in a goat - I've seen some bad and sad deaths using the wrong iron ! Goats buds are half the size of calf buds. I wish vets would realize this because they use the calf iron and the baby goat is never the same after that . You need someone with long experience with GOATS. VETS have no experience or knowledge with GOATS - they burn right through the skull into the brain ! They burn way too long because they treat a goat like a cow and they are entirely different ! The baby goat is ruined for life - they will never be the same if they even live after that. A baby 3 day old goat only need 8 seconds of bud burn and you will see a ring when you are done and you put the 7% iodine on that. Never have a VET do it ! Have an experienced Goat expert do it and make sure even they do not burn too long - only 8 seconds is all it takes per bud. The instructions with the GOAT iron even tells you this ! They will tell you 5 to 8 seconds. For a Buck baby you will need to do the 8 seconds. Their buds are a bit different in shape and size. I personally shave the hair away with a dog clipper around the bud so I get it perfect. I've been doing it for 60 years on my dairy goats. I also give them their SQ tetanus ANTITOXIN shot at the same time.. "SQ" means just under the skin. You do NOT put the needle into their flesh as in an IM shot.. SQ shots are easy and only takes a small short needle syringe. You pull a little skin outward from the body and put the needle through the skin only. That's it. The goat hardly feels it. IM shots are more tedious and painful for the goat - so much so they can go into shock and stop breathing. And you have to be very careful WHERE you give it. IM stands for Inner Muscular. So you can see why it's a very painful shot. Given in a certain place on the upper hind leg. Hope you never have to give one of those ! ===
It’s a safety issue because a goat can hurt you with it’s horns. It’s cruel to dock animal ears and tails according to other countries. The reason behind The Amputation of body parts of farm and work animals has always been for the safety of both humans and animals. That’s why water retrievers have tails docked it’s to prevent what is called cold tail and they can also hurt the tail in the field. I think it’s most of the animal rights most of the have no idea what they are talking about. If a disaster happened where they could not get to a store to buy food they would starve to death They think they are being kind and compassionate. But really they are not vary realistic.
Hey, wow. Cute video. I grew up on a ranch on the east side of Montana. I have a trick for chores like that. Grab a T-shirt and a bucket of feed. While the animal has their head in the bucket plop the shirt over his head and eyes, quickly secure the shirt around the eyes. Now the animal will go any where you guide them. Works on almost every animal. Large tree stomps & old tractor tires help entertain penned males of all breeds. They get bored and destructive. Hang tin cans strung together on the corners. Goats enjoy the heck out of creamy peanut butter also. Hope this helps. Your place looks great.
Oh HUSTONIT's so good to see you. Hi good evening Daniel ,love the video, the buck is so funny ha ha,you got a crazy buck and a crazy cow ,their keep you busy ha ha . Till the next video God bless bye.
I saw a goat at the zoo who had a weighted keg hanging in his pen. He would slam into the keg all day long then turn to receive the admiration of the crowd before doing it again. You might try this trick. If you do, put the support post outside of the pen and sell tickets.
Shouldn't be a problem and it won't take but a minute was my dads two favorite things to say when he was trying to motivate me. A minute often turned into a half a day project. When I was a teenager his motivation was I will kick your butt, he never did. Now that I am an old man I look back and remember my dad when watching you and your boy.
Our goat, Max, has horns...someone told me to cut up a pool noodle and insert his horns into it. Haven't tried it yet, but also thought of using E6000 glue to stick small balls on the tips of his horns. Sounds funny doesn't it? Max tears up the metal lid over their hay rack, hubby thinks Max is sharpening his horns.
As a kid & into my early teens, I worked on 2 of the 4 dairy farms on my street in rural Western Mass. I never had any interaction with goats. The thing that gave me nightmares for years was the Black Angus bull that inseminated the herd on one of the farms. The Mill River ran through the pastures & was good fishing, but if he was there with his girls, he would chase anyone who was brave enough to enter the field, right to the electric fence. I became an excellent jumper!!! I sub to many YT farm channels for the entertainment, but I knew that I wasn't going to be a farmer because I never saw one take a vacation!!!
We had a buck who rammed the side of our wooden barn till he punched a hole in it and got his head stuck. He was bawling but not hurt, so I ran and got the camera (in the days before cell phones) before we got him loose. We solved his butting problems by hanging an old tire by a rope from the rafters in his pen. Then he could "but" to his hearts content.
I wouldn’t use the side of a barn as part of an enclosure for exactly that reason...that goat is bored! He’s loving the sound he makes when he butts the barn! I feel your pain...😂😂😂😂
Our buck was hell on hooves. We put a bunch of sand sacks and big ship rope hanging and it helped. Also much cheaper is out some 12” tree sections in the ground like a post and he’ll wail the hell out of it and it’s replaceable.
LMAO! Been there done that lol but am counting my blessings I never had a buck tear my barn up like that! Sure 4x4 posts were in danger sometimes a feed barrels rolled all over but my barn stayed safe thank God lol
From your on-point editing to your buck's name... I am ROLLING with laughter. 😂😂 Moving hoofstock rarely goes without at least a few small problems. Great job. Subbed!
I'm a carpenter I believe you can build some king of sleeve from treated lumber similar to a deck rail that surrounds the corner of the barn or covers the wall with something less expensive than the metal to replace for the goat to buck. You can put your drinks on it while you do chores.
He’s a buck. Aren’t they a riot. We have 3 . Yep. You sound like my husband ranting after feeding. We feel your pain. Or at least my husband does lol. What worked the best for us was putting our favorite in with the horses. My husband comes in the door and the first thing he says is -that A##h--.
We made a small sturdy dog style house for a goat that did that and it worked out fine. He has to be kept on a chain too, most of the time because fences wouldn't even hold him...His name was Bucky because he bucked ALL THE TIME,anything he could find to buck, he did. He once got ahold of my very long pony tail and would NOT let go ! Had my mom rolling in her garden. In the winter, the country neighbor dogs...even a Guinea pig managed to find the man critter cave and kept good and warm with eachother. He was a pain but alotta fun and cleared alotta land, just a bucker!

"Debuding" Is forbidden in thé EU. Ils cruel
@@NikkieRoxxx It's cruel to have your buck die from exposure because they caught their horns in anything and can't get off.
It’s a safety issue because a goat can hurt you with it’s horns.
It’s cruel to dock animal ears and tails according to other countries. The reason behind
The Amputation of body parts of farm and work animals has always been for the safety of both humans and animals.
That’s why water retrievers have tails docked it’s to prevent what is called cold tail and they can also hurt the tail in the field.
I think it’s most of the animal rights most of the have no idea what they are talking about. If a disaster happened where they could not get to a store to buy food they would starve to death
They think they are being kind and compassionate.
CaroLyn ROTH As a fellow Montanan - fantastic advice:)
We shouldn't have a problem

Oh HUSTONIT's so good to see you. Hi good evening Daniel ,love the video, the buck is so funny ha ha,you got a crazy buck and a crazy cow ,their keep you busy ha ha . Till the next video God bless bye.
Lol. That goat is crazy 😂
Hamiltonville Farm He isn’t crazy. He’s a normal ram doing what rams do.
Its called testosterone.
My husband and I are new goat owners, we are loving the videos. Thanks!
You are hilarious, Love watching your animals and your family
Daniel: "We shouldn't have a problem."
Jerkface: *hold my beer*
Give him something to ram, i.e play with he is bored. You should know that!
Famous last words: :We shouldn't have a problem."

Hi..... Daniel, thank you for sharing your video homestead chicken farmer garden 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 🎥👍👍👍
And I just realized I forgot to mention thank you for your service
Give him a big old tractor tire he can push on and climb all over. Give him something to take his frustration out on.
I wouldn’t use the side of a barn as part of an enclosure for exactly that reason...that goat is bored! He’s loving the sound he makes when he butts the barn! I feel your pain...😂😂😂😂
Poor ol' misunderstood Jerkface 😂 jkjk 😂💕
One of your most entertaining videos yet! Glad you remembered the cows' gate; I was wondering if it had been secured.
How many times are u going to show him hitting his head like every 2 secs u have him doing it
Hes having us understand how annoying it is 😂
Do you believe he is hiting his head every time,i mean you now is the same hit replayed dont, you?
I found it hilarious
it's the same video, it's just so annoying.
ryan mcconville for a longer videos for him to make money
LMAO!!!! Always a cool thing to start with in the mornin'....Arms Family Homestead! My jaws hurt from laughing!! I love you guys, you make my day!
You better get out the bubble wrap for the barn corners... 😂👍🏻
The little blond fella doin his chores is pretty sweet too!!!
I've known bucks that would take their frustrations out on their humans. It is very kind of your buck to spare your family.
0lll0
Our buck was hell on hooves. We put a bunch of sand sacks and big ship rope hanging and it helped. Also much cheaper is out some 12” tree sections in the ground like a post and he’ll wail the hell out of it and it’s replaceable.
Now that’s how we like to see a video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣shouldn’t be a problem lol Daniel that was to funny loved it
OMG! That was a hysterical video! Your editing was PERFECT. Great way to end the day ...laughing.
I bet whoever bought jerk face loves watching this video! Haha probably thinking what did I buy!!!
Great job. Subbed!
Hanging a tire from tree, pole with the rim still in it will give bucks something hard to hit.It HELPS ALOT. more than 1 works even better.
This Capricorn goat way beyond hot headed! Cool.
