@@talksmoke1190oh, so that’s what this is. Ok. For a moment I thought you actually cared. I’ll reply because I initiated, but I’m done after this so feel free to ignore or you can keep going but you’ll get nothing more from me.
Even if all three of these could be fairly described as “made up” (something I don’t accept as I’m familiar with the context and at worst they’re exaggerations in the course of free flowing, unscripted conversations-not something like an article wherein people have the ability to be more thoughtful choosing words and to revisit, edit, sharpen, etc) they’re minor details in terms of assessing what matters for people’s lives, i.e., the material conditions of the situation.
It’s of course fair game to criticize and check Laith like anyone else. But there’s every difference between doing so in order to try to undermine and doing so from a place of good faith search for truth with comradely respect.
You don’t care about truth. You care about winning, at all cost. Which is, paradoxically, self-defeating. You’ll never be at peace without coming to terms with this. Maybe I’ve got you wrong, but I don’t think so. In any event, like I wrote ⬆️ , I’m done now. You don’t get any more of my time.

Thank you all for your heroic efforts in sharing the saddest moments in human history and Laith, thank you for contextualising it. Your intelligence and bravery is unmatched as a journalist and a human being.
I am an Australian who has been watching the events in Palestine/Lebanon/Syria and with no power to send money because I have none. I’m on a disability pension which barely covers rent and food. Plus the exchange rate is massive!
Your words solidified what I have known regarding the Zionists controlling this entire country. I have been trying to tell thousands about it for years. They’re all suitably angry and deaf simultaneously. A perfect storm for the‘government’? Not my government. I have never bothered to vote for either of them. Why? The Animal Protection Party at least has morals.
When I was 11 I had a vision. I said back in 1971 that I would live to see a series of events that have never been seen in the history of human life. Here we are. To the young men who setup this video interview, you give me assurance that intelligent life still exists and if I were your mums, I’d be so extremely proud of you both. Sending love from Australia. It’s going to get rough.

It's an important statistic 56:56 that America, which has only 5% of the world's population, has 25% of the world's prison population. I'm hesitant to point out the violence & barbarity of American prisons for fear of being censored again.

I truly appreciate Laith Marouf. He is a highly knowledgeable and insightful about the history and geopolitics of the West Asia region. I must say however that his sources have not told him the truth about Russia. Russia did NOT betray Syria. They had no reason to do that.
Syria fell as fast as it did because President Assad no longer had it in him to fight. Owing to the previous long drawn out war and the crippling effects of the sanctions. He no longer had it in him to engage in another long drawn out war. He made the decision to order the Syrian forces to put their arms down. Russia, Iran and The Resistance were more than willing to fight alongside him. He no longer wanted to fight.

The betrayal of Russia? That's harsh words for an allied who have protected the Syrian sovereignty since 2011 and in the end left alone to fight off Turkie Israel & HTS while parallell fighting off an existensial attack by the collective West. Are you joking?

well it needs to verified whether Assad was placed under house arrest in Moscow and was unable to defend Syria. If that is true then what else can you call it other than betrayal.

Loved Laith's comparisons of prisons throughout the world and showing how the US has more prisoners in its jails than the entire world. Moreover, that Americans live under the most sordid conditions and whose rulers are slaves and kiss the Zionist ring if they want to be allowed to rule. I am in agreement that a long time ago, the people of the US allowed this soft coupe d'etat against their democratic government who has slowly become ruled by the AIPAC/Israeli/Coalition to the detriment of the majority of Americans.

I am a huge supporter of ANN and all of ANN hosts/interviewers with the exception of Raven. It pains me to do this publicly, but I have reached out privately several times and now I am offering some public criticism to ANN. Unlike essentially every other radical news channel ANN gives their guests the spotlight, but it seems that not only does Raven try to share and steal the spotlight, but Raven's ideology is questionable at best and in this interview Raven was outright insensitive to Laith. Please address this with Raven cause we do not need yet another channel on Left of public intellectuals that just want hear themselves speak.

A week of intense fighting? You must have watched a different event bud. There were some intitial skirmishes and then the SAA literally withdrew from one city, one village after another with no fighting taking place.

Interesting perspectives. Morality in the world is at stake. The destruction will continue and many more countries will fall if the world continues with the current madness. Palestine has been and is the canary in the mine for a while.

Nobody could save Syria if the commanders had sold out. The fact is people had been suffering under sanctions due to their anti-imperialist position and its to buy them off with the promise of a normal life.

He's a journalist, not a global political analyst. He says as he feels it. He has no idea where and what the goals of the West is. Passionate and true to himself, but it doesn't makes him a clairvoyant prophet.
