- Since I found so much new information, I figured I'd make a new guide video to help you guys! Hopefully, this helps some of you get past True Nightmare, definitely wish I had some of this info when I did it.

For anyone trying to beat True Nightmare, listen to the frog man, I just beat it today and his tips work extremely well.

Just to clarify with Costume's timer, that 4,000-5,000 is affected every frame. Each frame either 5 is added to it (watching him) or 8 is subtracted (not watching him). The game runs at 60 fps I believe, so the timer is affected 60 times a second which is why even watching Costume for a second is so helpful
The Bear intervals for postpatch are off just so you know thanks to that funky offset. Updated intervals (includes long nights):

I dont really play fnaf games, it was just really interesting to listen to how all of the animatronics work and seeing you pull it off.
u can close the gate while looking at the front
on the flag pole to the right of munches portrait click and drag the bottom part of the flag pole all the way down to the stool on the right of your camera
(i think someone talked about it but it isnt very known, the devs accidentally left a hitbox there)

Mans looking snazzy in those glasses lol. But that is truly an amazing guide for people to follow, the bear stuff is a big help tbh since he is the most problematic (well 2nd), like most stuff I had no clue about and am sure that information will help people out. Much better guide than the last one for sure, as they are SO many small optimisations for each character that make True nightmare seem much easier for anyone who isn't even particular that "good" at these sort of challenges.

But yea, honestly really proud of how this one turned out lol. Prepatch taught me a fair bit, really hope that info can help others 🙏

I’m somewhat new to FNaF and the fan games, and was feeling proud of beating 4/20 in FNaF 1 until I watched this controlled chaos wizardry. This is absolutely mental.

Chuck has no sound cue upon entering
Modern appears 10 seconds after being dealt with
Jasper needs at least 2 seconds of stage call usage I believe it is
Mr. Munch doesnt say a voiceline when leaving the stage
Helen gets to your office immedieately after leaving the stage
Pasqually is intended to appear everytime but is bugged and only appears the first time
Bear will instakill upon his timer reaching 0
Costume is just there immediately, doesnt wait the few seconds or whatever it is
Munch Jr will kill if you miss him
Dolli will kill if her music box runs out

ayo man can you give me some tips on v1.1.1? idk i just got my first tn win recently and spawnrusher told me i should do pre-patch 1.1.1 next when i asked him. i haven't started attempts yet but i just thought it would be good to get some more game knowledge about pre-patch before starting attempts

I'm a bit late but is there anyway to lower the jump-scare noise? I've been lowering the ingame volume but it doesnt seem to do anything and i really want to play w/o getting completely startled every-time i lose (which is often)
There isnt any way to lower jumpscare, but SpawnRusher's quality of life mod allows you to I believe
the bear thing was really helpful, my only problem now is munch jr mr munch, and just me being scared of jumpscares lol
even though i sound like a pussy i wish the jumpscare files were actually in the folder
@@damiann123 For me, the way I got used to the jumpscares was (not to advertise him or anything) by literally watching Frogger25's livestreams of the game. On top of that, watching on full screen and the volume at least moderately up. Eventually, you get used to it to where when you get jumpscared in the game, it affects you little to none.
You forgot one thing about The Bear, he can kill you when the gate us closed if he isn't flashed enough.
Yea thats kinda just how his kill timer works so didn't feel like it had to be explained
@@Frogger25 I thought I would point it out. Because for some people it might not be obvious. Some people might think you can get some more time by not flashing him because the gate is down because of one of Chucky's.
This is great! Just wondering, do you use a timer to keep track of intervals? (e.g. LiveSplit)
I only started using a timer when I activated the aggressive challenge. A timer would be incredibly helpful for Bear however, would recommend!
On agressive munch never says the “Nobody can save you now” line.
Outside of Agressive the line playing is a coin flip

is desyncing helen and jasper really optimal? im having a lot more luck keeping them synced but iunno. how bad is dolli if you keep them synced?
It's what I found consistent at the time, but this guide is outdated by now honestly lol. I'd say try with and without to see what works better for you. Dolli can be mean sometimes if they are synced and you spend your time with Costume

Heya, I've tried rebeating true nightmare for a video and I had a weird situation where modern chuck e cheese left while I wasnt closing the gate. He disappeared while I had my light flashed on him. Though the gate was like 85% closed so maybe that had something to do with it? This is prolly just a weird bug though. And its great since that run ended up being my winning run.
My only guess is you checked immediately after you let go of the gate in which case the gate still counts as closing for a few more frames
@@Frogger25 Ohh alright that makes sense, I did check very shortly after I let go. Its odd since I've never seen this situation happen to anyone else before

Just click stage call any time you leave cam and make. Could be a bug if it doesn't work since I remember that being a thing
This is a really good guide! It helped me beat True Nightmare almost a month ago. But now I have made a VERY BAD deal with a friend and I must prepare to beat True Nightmare AGGRESSIVE. Do you have any other tips that could help with that?
Unfortunately I have not done TN aggressive so I don't have any tips for it. However, if you go to ZaCh or Shooter25 they can definitely help out

Here are some things to take note of:
Jasper-appears in a range of intervals. 10-20, 30-40, 50-1:00. The times are the same for each hour of the night. Ex. 1:10-1:20, 1:30-1:40, 1:50-2:00. He can appear anywhere between those times. Take note of when he spawns in. That is usually when he will appear the next time. Ex. If he spawns in at 15. He will probably spawn in at 35 the next time he appears. That is how you predict him. You have to predict old chuck with Jasper or else you are probably dead.
Old Chuck- He is usually synced with every 2 modern attacks. Once you play enough TNA you will learn when he appears. I personally like to predict the modern attack that is synced with old chuck. Also remember that old chuck can be early and you will have to usually predict him with Jasper. One thing that is kind of important is that if you are very fast and the gate is 65% of the way closed than you can maybe survive Jasper. But you have to be like pixel perfect.
Modern- Wait him out 2-3 seconds. Sometimes you will have to get him instantly like if Jasper is about to appear. If Jasper appears right when you turn to get modern and go for modern first. You're dead, no matter how fast you are.
Helen- She instantly spawns in at the start of the night. If you get rid of her, you have like 1.5sec to turn back or else she insta kills you. If you take like 2-2.5sec at the back however, you have to get rid of her again. Which wastes a lot of costume time.
Munch- You should try to hybrid check. But if someone is about to appear (Mainly Jasper, Old Chuck, sometimes modern depending on the situation) you should normal check and be very quick to get him. If you are hybrid checking, you can time your clicks and get munch without wasting as many frames as you would by normally checking.

What do you mean by “kill timer runs out”?
Each character has a timer before they kill you, thus the term kill timer. When that timer goes out you perish unless dealt with correctly

Watch Costume until forced to leave by either Jasper/Chuck. If you hear someone leave the stage, it's smart to check if it was Munch that left just in case he didn't say a voiceline when leaving. Always have the camera on Costume when closing the cam. Best advice I can give really

When viewing him, it adds 5 to his counter per frame you are viewing him, causing him to stay longer

I get that, this one is quite a challenge. Sounds like you just need a bit of a mental breather; take a break from the mode and come back when youre feeling better. You can definitely do it, anyone can, as long as the time and effort is put in. I believe in ya :)
