- Lee Mead had scant chance to talk about the great things that are happening for him career-wise at the moment, as the presenters preferred to concentrate mainly on asking questions about his personal life that he has answered many times before. So, if you're interested in hearing what he's actually up to, read on.
He's currently touring in the title role of Lord Arthur Savile's Crime, a funny and deftly performed adaptation of an Oscar Wilde short story, which marks his dramatic acting debut. It is currently at the Theatre Royal, Brighton and calls at Edinburgh, Blackpool, Manchester, Plymouth, Malvern, Leeds, Worthing and Cardiff before ending its run in Bath on 24 April. Full info at: www.kenwright.c...
With just a couple of weeks break, Lee's next role is as Fiyero in the hugely popular West End musical 'Wicked' - joining the company on 10 May 2010, he is scheduled to stay until 5 February 2011.
And just announced, he will be playing two concerts in the summer:
- at the Cliffs Pavilion, Southend on 23 May - tickets from www.thecliffspa...
and at The Anvil, Basingstoke on 13 June - tickets from www.anvilarts.o...
Exciting times ahead!
god he is the most beautiful man on this earth... x x
It's precisely because he hasn't embraced the celebrity lifestyle that he didn't tell the world of his wedding plans, preferring instead to keep a very special day private, as he has every right to do. I respect that decision completely, admire him for it in fact - perhaps his occasional lack of smiles is because so many people don't.
omg! hes going 2 b in wicked! i went 2 see that last year, y couldnt he have been in that then!!!! argh!
Lee looked and sounded soo lovely but I'm beginning to find Eamon a bit of a pain as an interviewer and not just on this occasion. Thanks for this fluffy (obviously from similar naming agency as teapot :D)
Lee Mead is fantastic and will be brilliant
in Wicked, gorgeous man, brilliant voice
and can certainly move. Cant wait.
Eammon Holmes is a terrible interviewer
Lee must be fed up keep being asked
about his personal life. Lee is a big star
in his own right.
@apollovicky On the contrary, in interviews when he IS asked about his work, he has plenty to say for himself, talking intelligently and with a self-deprecating wit. Lee is known for keeping his private life private, so is never going to be at his most voluble in an interview focusing mainly on his wife!
@apollovicky I'm sure you won't be surprised that I disagree, but I am puzzled as to why you watch his interviews if you find him so boring. You are of course entitled to your opinion but it is just that - YOUR opinion. Personally, I find his personality charming and his interviews far from boring - each to their own.
So funny to see the same posters around Lee and Denise videos criticising them. Is there nothing more constructive they can find to do with their time?
@minihobo89 If you don't ever see Lee in Wicked how will you know if you were right or not.
@minihobo89 i do agree hes never guna match the most yummyest divine fiyero in oliver tompsett
i agree on the personality front as well he seems really shy in this interview
I heard that Oliver 'phoned in' his last few performances in Wicked. And aren't you a bit old to use a word like 'yummiest'? It's a nursery expression.
@apollovicky well if all you lot do is moan go do something else instead of critising people who have more talent and intelligence then u have put together!
