Thank you for directing me to this video! Here is my first question: 1) In early master system games like Golden Axe, the scrolling is very choppy, almost as if the tiles are resolving to this grid of 768. Is this why? Thank you again for this great resource. I am looking forward to more video involving the Master System.

Golden Axe actually merges it´s characters with the background, as result, scrolling must be done in a 8 pixels basis. The advantage is the lack of flickering. The Disadvantages, are the limitation to one palette for both backgrounds and characters, the scroll and the cpu use in order to merge the tiles.

Just to know, if you ever see that message, did you read the How to Program the Z80 book by Rodnay Zaks? I don't know if it was a good idea or not, there's lots and lots of page, but It felt like it was oof topic since it looks like Im not really working on a assembly compiler, even tho there is assembly instructions

Yeah, I think I've read that one.
When I first started out, I basically grabbed every Z80 book I could find. I've actually even read a few in Japanese(!).
FYI I learned assembly originally from "Learn TI-83 Plus Assembly In 28 Days v2.0" (www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/268/26877.html), so if you're looking to learn from something other than my content, that's what I'd recommend, as I've not seen anything 'better' since

Question to all Sega #MasterSystem fans... Do you think you’ll need a new emulator for this console? What are the uncovered needs on some emulators? What things you’ll like to have on a master system emulator? 😉
