I've been making tracks in Ableton Live since version 4. Other DAW's are just as capable but I feel comfortable with this one. There's an After Effects project I've linked in the comments you can download to make your own sparkly line ;)

I'll be honest. I do get this feeling a little when I listen to it on my phones speaker. If you do enjoy music like this normally, can I suggest trying earphones or a system with a sub? It could be your speakers are highlighting something mine aren't. I'd be interested to know. I have to learn how to get things sounding balanced on all systems somehow :) Thanks.

It took a good 4 hours to render on an i7 in After Effects. You could render some of your songs and then play the videos but its a lot of work.
