dam does not do much to ground water as to boils it off so total ammount of water lost to air goes up and flood happen when full Reservoir is opened as it cant store flood overflow

How can be surface area increased can you explain with value.
Because DAM is much deeper than river. So how can be surface area is higher against volume.
Dams are not deep they are tall {above the river bed }so reservoirs are generally very very shallow only just behind the dam wall it's deep. Pay attention to the reservoir cost always looks like a shallow beach. Sun boils ocean the only reason it's still there is because rain keeps returning the water .
