as long as it's a 4x4 manual, i don't care if it is the cheapest.
Just throw in a set of Roh wheels (this is an option, but its steelies are more than sufficient for the application,) fog lamps, decent bedliner: and this will be a perfect long drive rig. If I were to be more specific: "The Perfect Samar Cruiser" (those who do inter-island long drives know)
Those steelies need some 75 knobby tires and you're good to go!!!
Is this sufficient for maybe hardcore trails or like in nakar, or do you really need the totl automatic variants with rear lock diff.etc.

Wish we waited for this! My nephew gets horribly car sick on their Hilux, and it only happens on that specific car. That suspension is just too much for kids.

The exterior is unmistakably base model, but the interior isn’t. Interior is on par or even better than most in mid-range segment.
Simple and practical. Great pick-up truck.
For a base wth 170 hp why out...best choice than hilux or dmax base
You buy a Hilux/Dmax for the engine, they hardly break down. Ford is nice enough to include most of the tech bells and whistles on their base 4x4 though.

it looks good and price competitive esp for the features for 50k diff..but overall..which car brand is better when it comes to longevity?thats usually the problem..cheaper for price competitive but you pay more in maintenance..
The clutch slave cylinder is usually placed outside the transmission so if it leaks, its a 15 minute job to replace. What ford did(along with the current manual mitsubishi montero, strada and xpander) is place the slave cylinder INSIDE the transmission. If that leaks, youd have to remove the transmission just to replace it. I dont know the logic behind that design. Removing tge transmission should only be for a.) Replacing the clutch b.) Transmission repair c.) Replacing the crank seal. I want to know why they decided to do this as it adds another reason to remove the transmission as if thats not laborious enough. Clutch/transmissiom/crank seal usually lasts a long time, slave cylinders relatively fail more often as it involves hydraulic pressure with seals after all. An outside mounted slave cylinder functions just fine. Its definitely my biggest gripe with modern manuals.
with now 5 year warranty so it should give some peace of mind unless though you will do heavy mods.

Are Ford Parts proprietary? do they produce old model parts still like Toyota? hv an 18 yrs old Toyota and never had a problem. Learned from your comment Thanks. other mntc issues w/ Ford?

Nope, you will have to swap out the whole grill to get the c-clamp headlights from the XLT/Wildtrack/Raptor

Nice! The perfect 4x4 MT truck. Interior is better than most sedan/mpvs.
Finally ford has made a truck for the masses that can work and play along with taking the family along or a crew . The 2024 model just needs the bi turbo setup and it's set for whatever situation you encounter. The bi turbo actually gets better fuel economy because you don't have to push it as hard to get the performance you need to get the job done. The new V6 is a bit of overkill and for the size of the truck is a bit unnecessary and not cost effective for the philippines market. Otherwise ford has thrown down the gauntlet for other manufacturers to step up to. Congratulations.
This version is stripped out of features compared to the Xl version in Australia specially the price, try to search the feature you can get with the same price, Asian market is paying more while getting less.
Amazing truck, it may be the base model but if you dressed this pick up it would look gorgeous compared to the others 🤔👍
From the inside, toyota and strada base models are no match compared to the XL Ford.

This has a locking rear diff and the same suspension as the more expensive variants so it should be as capable as the more expensive variants, especially if you upgrade to all-terrain or mud terrain tires
