Vastly underated fighter IMHO!
Colin "The Dynamo!" Dunne although losing to Ayres in this bout proved he was one of, if not the best lightweights to emerge in this Country since The Dartford destroyer Dave Charnley reigned supreme in the early sixties!!!😊👍

Great boxing knowledge. Charnley was a great fighter. Ayers was a very classy smart fighter who would get dragged into the trenches from time to time.. At least he had it in his locker though.

I remember Dunne was WBU world champ a few years later, shown Live
on ITV. I think I watched this on BBC Sportsnight in about October 1996.
