I am also pumped for sure for this. Just wanted to touch on one thing: I think that while Scream and Scream 2 aren't the highest budget films, they are pretty gorgeous and sophisticated in their cinematography (and editing), which is why 3's relatively plain look and 4's uggo Vaseline guise disappoint. The quality of the cinematography here reminds me of the first film in it's coldest moments.
I don’t remember 2019, it went 2018 Halloween and then pandemic and it’s suddenly 2021. It looks gritty and more serious. The same lens used as the original film, the blue tint and great lighting are back! Haha the score is fresh and paying homage to why the original score was so damn good. I think Tara lives and is part of a several part opening. Dewey says 3 attacks. This is going to start off big and not slow down
Wes Craven's Scream, Scream 2, Scream 3, & Scream 4 are perfect meta horror thrillers. Scream 5 looks very dark and scary with the original cast of Neve Campbell, Courteny Cox, & David Arquette returning. So I'm hyped! I hope the Ready or Not directors bring some clever meta humor like their previous film had as that's in line with the Scream series too.
I wish instead of the landline he would have hacked the speaker security system and talked to her from inside the house through the speaker. I think that would have been scarier
The trailer is soooo good. I'm so hyped and I'm not even that big of a sScream fan. It's so interesting that the killer is killing off people related to the other killers. Great reaction Steph!
He is killing familiy of The first , like micks from Rand Micks, Mackenzie that is mentioned At The open scene, when The father of Casey tell his wife call The Mackenzie. And not of The first onde hiks from Judy hicks.
First things first your hair is awesome and I enjoyed your reaction to this trailer I've pretty much be repeating myself all day about how this trailer blew my mind and basically swayed me into being totally hyped about this new entry into the Scream franchise It looks like it blends classic nostalgic elements but also gives us a lot of new stuff to freshen it up and sort of raise the bar It looks clever and creepy And it looks like Ghostface is going to be legit badass to the max which I am so here for Definitely excited to keep screaming 😱👻🖤🔪🖤
I think that this movie will be better than more of The past ones, I dont know if will be better from The first movie. I think Dewey died because of The face of Gale, she main painfool, sad. And She and Sidney will get thoheter for Deweys revenge. And I think Tara survives and she At The hospital and Dewey comes tô save her and died.
First you look awesome second trailer looks good has more of a darker edge feel to it though than the more balanced Horror comedy of Wes Craven 1 2 3 4.
The more I think about it, I don't like this trailer. I'm not happy to see the old cast comeback to coach the new cast. Scream is about breaking the rules. This seems to embrace the modern rules. Which leads me to believe Dewey dies (cause we always have to see an original cast member die), leaving Sydney and Gale as the last two standing. This is why we see Dewey fighting ghost face alone and Gale being held back with ambulances behind her. It is funny to see Hicks coming back, I kind of like that. But why isn't she backing up Dewey then? It's a huge bummer not to see Kirby returning. I really was pulling for her being alive. I believe Wes had also said she was alive in his mind as well. There was also just not hook to get me super excited. A couple nice shots. But overall, this looks pretty generic and it's bumming me out. Oh well, I guess. I'll always have the original and Scream 4. But i'm not really excited for this, I'm more nervous.
Great reaction vid, but my question to you is one that scares the shit out of me everytime I watch a scream film. How would you feel if they killed of one of the three, to me they are untouchable but surely we are going to lose one if not more. When Freddy killed Alice I was done. I am here for ghostface but equally for our trio!!
