i hear what you're saying about the door. but i can see leaving the front panel off just as much if i'm not doing engineering materials, that's kind of what i do now its just a marine canvas/clear vinyl "enclosure" on a creform tubing shelf/frame with a front panel that slides in to a keder track and velcros on. bc most of the time i leave it off or roll it up. i guess maybe if it was magnetic with a hinge that pops off... but i'm sure i could just design and print whatever mods i needed.
While the hybrid + IDEX is quite interesting, the main disadvantage is the size. While the outer dimensions of the vCore 3.1 500 still fit through most doors, the vCore 4 have problems to fit through if bigger than 300 size. So for me the vCore 4 is no opntion ;-( Maybe the vCore 3.1 + toolchanger and/or ERCF is the better option if you do not have a big room dedicated for 3d printing with enough space to assemble it there. Also the much bigger inside volume means much more heating needed to keep it at 45°C if printing big ABS parts.
RatRig shipped this to me from Portugal, I took it to RMRRF for them to show then brought it home with me after the event. I also have the new CNC Mill
@EDGEOF3D How did you get in with RatRig? Did you have to build it, or was it shipped already assembled? I would really like to establish some sort of relationship with them, but I don't know how, or who to contact. Did they contact you?
It was shipped fully assembled to my warehouse where it stayed completely packed then I transported it to RMRRF where the people from RatRig unpacked it and introduced it to the people at the show. As for how I got in with RatRig, networking, they contacted me through other people I do work for in the 3D printing/maker space.
@EDGEOF3D Warehouse, so you have a fairly big business? Is it mainly 3D Printing related? Or is 3D Printing or Printers a side thing or hobby? I tried to figure out what your business is, but you seem to hide it or at least not give it away. Is the guy that does the video's, who came out to Denver, the owner or head guy of RatRig?
I don't "hide it" per se, my business is not related to anything I do on this channel. This is my hobby, my business is, well, my business, and along with it comes security concerns that are best not displayed or talked about on social platforms. And yes, Sonat, the person on the RatRig video's and at RMRRF is the founder of RatRig. Cruze (Miguel) was the other one there from RatRig, he is one of the product designers/engineers.
I would like to see an actual door but there is also the advantage of the panel sealing tighter I suppose. I can work with it the way it is I have the space, but I can see where having that giant panel could be an issue in some cases.
@@HelgeKeck of course, the praise is clearly well earned. if ever want to come ride around on a boat on lake superior near some islands lemme know. all good.
i don't think anyone has placed these on a proper desk and ran input shaper to really see what they are capable of. both at the RMRRF show and here it was printing on a Toolbox cart with wheels :)
As Fabreeko said, this has been on tool carts with wheels so most certainly not the place to be pushing it or trying to run input shapers etc. Rest assured the printer is headed out to other content creators who will push the envelope and show what you are looking for.

Nice looking Machine Scott. Will share this on my Socials.
What kind of chamber filter was that?
What about the ice issue?

Amazing printer. I got on the waiting list for one. Let us know how it holds up. Print something huge on it and put it through the paces.
How did you guys get one so soon?

I take it, the wobbling all over the place is the table and not the v 4 ?
Correct, that bench in my studio is on wheels so you put a 80# printer on it throwing around a couple pounds of XY gantry and it moves around a bit.

Hopefully ill be able to save up for one of these lol

hey, thanks for everything you do/have done with these. i don't understand enough of it all yet... but i recognize someone who does. respect.

I don’t like it. Electrical box ugly, 3.1 was too much better. And why no one not displaying print quality, VFA, another noise on prints.
I’m on the early bird list as I need a large print volume and IDEX but I do find it odd that we haven’t seen any shaper graphs, etc.

next time you need to learn your text and specs of the machine that you show.. this makes u look like a noob.
