We are a very elderly couple with health issues, who knows how long we will be on the earth, much younger friends have gone before us but these carols evoke such wonderful memories and bring joy to us.
How long you will live it's in the hands of our lord and saviour JESUS CHRIST. So simply lean on give him thanks and praise. Without God's grace no one can live longer. It's his pure grace. So always thank him and praise him

i miss my two little boys in the 1980s they are grown men now we would put the tree up and sing a few songs and eat chocolate/mince pies and sweets like my mum used to say to me and my siblings why did you have to grow up the early years were the best god i miss my parents i am 74 now but still get tearful merry christmas everyone

Years ago my best friends son resorted to using heroin after a severe back injury, he was breaking into businesses & was arrested. After 1 year of his prison sentence he availed himself to all the help & rehab programs they offered. He's now a very stable, hard working young man with a wife and children. In God all things are possible. My prayers are your grandson will see the light and reform himself.
I'm 60 years old. This music takes me back to when I was about 7 years old. My father was an alcoholic so it made it very tough for my mother with 5 kids. There was a Methodist Church that put on a Beautiful Christmas dinner with candles music and Beautiful dinner settings. We were invited to be there. I can remember how special it made me feel and have always thought of it each year.
I am alone in my room. But it feels like all my friends get together in a same room, talking, laughing cheering each other. Thank you for your music. It comforts me.
What can I give him poor as I am? If I was a shepherd would bring a lamb. If was a wise man would do my part. Yet what can we give him this Christmas in 2023. May we give him our hearts. I work in a long term care facility in rural Alberta. We have a special pod where residents with high functioning dementia are kept. These hymns remind me of my school days when we sang for Carole Evening celebration just before we'd go for winter vacation. Too nostalgic, would love to go back to those times.
