I stayed in calgary last year in November. People were openly doing drugs on the ctrain and at station. Some people looked dead. One man smelt like he was rotting, others had super bad frostbite. It was not the best first impression but I love canada out of the cities
Para din palang sa Vancouver . Ang tapang mo mag video kabayan . Ingat ! Taga Calgary na din kami since Oct last year, d ko pa nakikita yan .
Hope that the government can do something about it.
That entire city is a human garbage bin, avoid this cesspool at all costs, an amigo of mine from chile a few years ago spent a week and told me how disgusted he was by the crude, rude and vulgar 'people' he encountered.
I used to be out there like that on the streets, and it was hell. If somebody had secretly filmed me like this in public, I would have been mortified. This video exposes vulnerable people's and is very much part of the problem. It's giving people a look into what we already see. Instead, go ask one of them to talk on camera about life on the streets or leave them alone. Imagine one of these people was someone you loved, how much damage it could do to see this posted somewhere. There's a reason why detox and treatment centers have rules about patient disclosure, it's super damaging what you're doing.
Treat these people with generosity and kindness. They need support and need to be directed to support that will assist them with rehabilitation and housing. Sometimes buying them food and giving them hand warmers, blankets and warm clothes like socks and warm gloves goes a long way. A lot of these people have gone through immense amounts of suffering and trauma and helping and giving can help them and give them hope and strength.
I would still stay in calgary, much safer city. Unfortunately the whole country is going to shit but I don't care to get into the politics at the moment. Point is being in the cities isn't the move
@panicman10-js1oi well cost of living is generally higher in the mountains but that depends on a few things, most vital one being the location of which you wish to relocate. However it is still much safer than being in the city and it would be a good place to start up a family or for trades work.
5+ Million from the 3rd World Countries and now 1/3 of our Population is Foreign Born - now around 250,000 people born in Canada have No Fixed Address or are Homeless - Here in Vancouver , BC we have around 5000 sleeping outside that includes retired Public Service - Veterans , and Single Parents sleeping in Cars - Rents have 2X in the last 10 years and now a 1 bedroom is $2000 a month and 2 bedrooms $3000 a month and they have waiting lists as 3 or more people have to share just to put a Roof over their heads - For the homeless , they took away the tents calling them a Fire Hazard - and soon we will get 3-4 months of Heavy Rains & sometimes snow for 7 - 10 days ! I worked mining for 40 years - they set up a new camp with construction trailers in 2 months , with water , heat & power . Sewage is pumped into big tanks - We would do this easy as outside the City and in the Fraser Valley there is lots of vacant land - Reason they do not do this - it could be Permanent and would be because of the High Cost of Living = MAKE CANADA GREAT AGAIN
This is why I do not go anywhere without a ride from friends. Transit is not safe at all. A person cannot step outside without being harassed by druggies and other lowlifes
I'm not so sure if all of the people you showed are homeless, some of them could been students. But it is a shocker to see what Canada has become. I'M living out of the Country and wanted to move back, since my divorce, and my son now 26 wanted to move back with me, but seeing what is going on in Canada, I think we better stay put. And no, in the Country I'm in at the moment, we don't see such filth and people laying on the streets. Shame on you CANADA 🇨🇦
I realize you're in a public place and are free to film, but showing all those folks' faces seems disrespectful. This is my opinion, take it or leave it.

Sa mga train station dito sa calgary minsan actual mo pa nakikita nag dadrugs. may hawak na mga foil. Ingat kabayan
Good day! Regarding the video you shared about homeless individuals, may I inquire if there is a Filipina among the homeless people featured in it?
Dito meron ding homeless pero wala pa nman ako nakitang natutulog kahit saan . I guess sa ibang states ganyan din tulad sa inyo. Hope that the government can do something about it.
Mas grabe pala dyan kaysa dito sa Pinas, dito minsan ka lang makakakita , nakakatakot yan

Well the mayor has money for art work, but no money to help the homeless

Maraming din pala mga homeless dyan bro.at mas mahirap pa kasi pag mag winter.
Is Edmonton also like this?
some place.. yes. Calgary is much better now than last 5 months.
The DI is definitely the worst neighbors you could possibly have
😢
Why dont they move somewhere warmer. like vancouver. 12 hour bus ride and much easier.
If they had that foresight they wouldn’t be in the street.
GOD NO!!!! Live there, and we have way too many of these fentanyl and xylazine addict's already and more keep show up....

@Curve Ballz Neglect is one of the greatest forms of abuse.
Thanks for bringing the reality to youtube...I'm so sick and tired of lolipop content around here.
the bus and c train also have many homless and smells urine in it and all over tyhe street , our dear major need to do something about this
Canada should learn lesson from Finland to resolve homeless problem absolutely
We have money for everything else, except fixing that problem 👀
This is very sad to see, unfortunately I see this everyday, I live in Edmonton and if I'm being honest Calgary looks a lot safer than Edmonton
I would still stay in calgary, much safer city. Unfortunately the whole country is going to shit but I don't care to get into the politics at the moment. Point is being in the cities isn't the move

Calgary transit sucks, even without the crack smoking
Definitely has gotten worse since the pandemic
i dont ever remember calgary being so bad

Kawawa nman Sila kuya
Bat k naawa eh yan ang gusto nila
There is a smell in Calgary that all the locals have gotten used to. Not me.
Everybody can change this is their choice
Sad But it's reality//
Homeless is not good.
Some people do need a hand up
This is why I do not go anywhere without a ride from friends. Transit is not safe at all. A person cannot step outside without being harassed by druggies and other lowlifes
Shout out to Alpha House
That is nothing come to the USA every city over 150k ppl is worse than this
They need to want to help them selfs not as bad as Vancouver but we must remember they are also drug addicts and don't seek help
lucky calgary gets -20C weather, so street dwellers are less than vancouver

At least the high jacked governments gave billions to Ukrain.
