This video is about sealing a Wooden Surfboard with a Marine varnish, it's aimed at people that have attend one of our Wooden Surfboard Workshops and are about to seal their board at home.
@@treetoseaaustraliaaustrali1485 fantastic, thank you for the quick response. I completed my first wood wrapped poly core board last year. It came out beautiful but I glassed it so it's quite heavy. I'd like to try your spar varnish merit on my next board. Do you have a brand you recommend? Maybe I can find it's counterpart here in the states.
I heard on a podcast the marine spar you use is water base are you able to share the brand ? Thanks
Nice video. Is the the board glassed as well? Or is the spar varnish all that is needed to seal the board?
Hi Denis no glass only marine spar
As this board won't be glassed, how do you keep the fin boxes from getting ripped out due to normal pressures of turning etc?
The fin box is epoxyed into the board and is incredibly strong, no one has ever ripped one out.

@@klickstein1 We use Bondall here in Australia, but you can use Feast Watson Marine Spar, which should be available in the states.
@@treetoseaaustraliaaustrali1485 I'll check it out - many thanks and best wishes!
