Rider asks for proof - EDSA Bus Lane

  • There are still drivers and riders that try to leave the exclusive bus lane upon seeing enforcers.
    Some even go as far as demanding proof that they were inside the bus lane.
    Watch as the NTFSO continue with their enforcement operations on EDSA, as well as clearing the alternative routes of illegally parked vehicles.

    - increase the penalty to where it absolutely hurts the pocket
    - ask the court to exempt EDSA for the non-contact apprehension
    - remove the fugly concrete barriers
    - remove the useless timers on the bus stations, just make it strict load and unload, i have seen many times where there are around a 5+ bus lineup on the bus stations

    Until the fines are doubled or maybe tripled. It will be hopeless.
    1. 1st offense on the bus lane = double the fine.
    2. 2nd offense = triple, license confiscated.
    3. 3rd offense = triple, license confiscated for one month + seminar the driver pays for.
    4. 4th offense = triple, license confiscation for 6 months, seminar + vehicle towed.
    Maybe they learn by then.

I passby edsa everyday, and most of the time its those MC taxis that illeagaly use the bus lane, most of the time they have backrides too. Yes they have to be somewhere, and so does everybody else! Dont pass thru edsa if you cant lane filter properly or cant stand waiting. What a bunch of morons.
    I agree that the penalties be higher for violators, i think 5-6k would make those would be violators think twice before entering the bus lane.

I hope I'm wrong but I think most of those tickets are not settled, and some of these drivers now drive without a license. Like the coding system it's not going to work. Just a short term thing that will eventually catch up.

    Even if these motorists asks that they could use the bike and bus lane, it'll still be the same traffic situation every morning. It'll be the same thing like back in 2017. The problem of our traffic is the ratio of our roads to the number of car owners, and there are *_too many vehicles in the metro now._* If they want a solution, raise the purchase tax of vehicles, like Singapore. And that licenses shouldn't be given out unless they have a garage for their vehicle.

    what is koopal though are those uturn lanes sa north part of edsa. there are no early warnings that the 2nd lane will become a uturn only lane.
    so ginagawang trap ng mga enforcers sa edsa right now. it is so easy for someone who does not drive the road often to be trapped.
    me for example, i have not driven on edsa for a few years, but i drove on it the other night. once i saw the uturn markings it was too late. i had to go uturn and and back because of it.
    pero andaming nahuli. pero dapat 300 meters or so before dapat may signs that says left 2 lanes uturn only.
    pero nope, they want to write out tickets instead

    The best deterrent to those goofs using the bus lane is to make it real hard for them to get their driver's license back;
    1) license will be confiscated
    To be able to get it back, they need to do the following;
    1) pay a fine of 10k pesos
    2) acuire and submit a barangay clearance
    3) acuire and submit a NBI clearance
    4) must complete a 10 hour seminar about traffic rules and other guidelines
    5) must provide 10 hours community service
    No if's and but's on all the above
    Let's see if anyone dare use the bus way.

    Problem with the Philippines is simple,it’s just too easy to purchase a vehicle,or motor cycle.just put down a 30,000 pesos deposit and drive away,no strict driving test like abroad,especially motor cycle riders,in England their are stages for motor cycles 50cc upto 500cc engines,50cc one test,and then100cc.again and again upto 500cc.the Philippines should follow suit on this,🙏🙏🙏

    Improve public transportation. It usually takes me 2 hours to travel from Pampanga to BGC. Tried commuting and it took me 6 hours. And people wonder why there’s so much private vehicles.

    We all need to have evidence to back up our claims. A claim cannot be proved as 'fact' unless there's proof. I've seen situations where people keep insisting a claim is factual when in fact there's not even evidence to back it up.

      No traffic enforcer is going to detain someone, falsely, for being in a lane you weren't. Nobody needs to provide proof that you were. The fact you are detained is because you did what you did and there is no excuse for doing what you did. Those who need "proof" are trying to skirt the law and demonstrate lawlessness. If I punch you in the mouth, do you need to present proof if I don't leave evidence? Or, consequently, do I need to prove I didn't do it? If you can't man, or woman up when you're wrong, then don't do wrong.
