I use FZ150 a lot and it works really good! I’ve been using it wrong when I got it, but to have a lot of foam you should dip your brush in water and pump a little bit of foam in the water.
You should try an electric rotary shoe polish brush for the insoles/liner, it does an amazing job of getting the deep trapped in dirt and working up a crazy strong lather. It's improved my cleaning time 5 fold and does a way better job than by hand.
Finally someone show how hard 4s is to make a soleswap, that polyurethane midsole job is the most time consuming process, I exactly know it's not easy to make it clean, I recently fully restored fire red mars 4s so I have a lot appreciaton on your job John, take care, upload more videos, there is a lot fans of your content right here!
Bro this is exactly how I do my outsole removal. People don't realize how HARD it is to remove the outsoles. Also I just did a pair of these 4s and they were so damn hard to completely line up due to the grey parts on the toe poking out.

Side note: It seems that most Jordans made on/after 2016 are harder to separate; the glue that’s used is pretty strong, plus the additional stitching on some shoes (upper to midsole) makes it a challenge. It sucks because pre-2016 J’s, despite being easier to separate, are more likely to crumble down the road.

I would only use a pure money donor if the outsole of my bling 4s are shot. I prefer to use the original outsole on the shoes I’m swapping with
Btw, if you get the opportunity to work on another pair of these, make sure to get a midsole donor with silvery chrome colored columns inside of the air unit instead of white. The closest midsole to the color of original is the Jordan 4 Anniversary Laser from 2015. But thats if you want to make it super precise and close to the original from 2000.

You should be okay. I don’t recommend putting shoes in water unless they are completely soiled. Leaving shoes in water will remove the natural oils of the leather. It’s important to recondition the leather afterwards if you do.
If it’s cracked, that can’t be repaired to its original state. You can fix it by removing the dried durabuck and paint match the suede but it’ll never have the same look and feel. You can dye polyurethane into a darker color. But not a lighter color if it’s a dark pu
