What is the treatment for high ddimer post covid ? My ddimer levels haven't normalized even 6 mths after recovering from Covid. They are at 2000 right now. I'm under dialysis and my neph has prescribed Eliquis 2.5 mg once a day on non dialysis days (I'm on dialysis since the last 8 years). D Dimer is okay.Tell him to keep walking inside home and doing breathing and light body exercise. Dont know about fibrinogen.

Very well explained !!....my father had covid few days back and his d- dimer was 1.43 mg /L and CRP was 1.1 mg/l. and he took rivalto 10 mg 1 od for 10 days after that d- dimer is 1.41 mg/L and CRP is 1.7 mg/L.Means not very much change he also take ecospirin 75 ,triolmesar 20 and nevicard 5 for his heart from few yrs back ..now what to do ?? Needed clexane injections in my mother's case for a week
Check again at other good lab by giving sample at the lab. If still high then definitely requires blood thinner injections. The value is too high.
