P.S Evil ryu's story is young akuma's past,and Oni is akuma's future. The ryu,the one with the white karate gear,student of gouken and friend to ken masters,is a different Character,seperate from the satsui no hado version. Basically what I'm trying to say is that we were seeing two seperate timelines of who we thought was one character . from two seperate time periods the whole time evil ryu in super street fighter 4 was actually gouki,in his youth,and we were fooled into thinking he was an evil version of ryu.
