😂😂😂 my grandkids are 20 and 19 and I made diaper cakes for both their baby showers. It’s one of those things that you don’t know about until you need one! There is also a boutique of flowers made with the babies clothing and washcloths onesies. Cupcakes made of same things as well. We have come a long way baby! You can search them on TH-cam as well 💝💙

My mom also used cloth diapers and I can remember being the one that use to have to hang them out on the line, take them down, and fold them :) LOL I was 8 yrs olds when my younger brother was born so I helped my mom a lot with babysitting and chores :)
Great job! I love doing diaper cakes for folks! The last one I made was a motorcycle for my cousin, who's an avid rider. :-) I recommend just glue the end of the ribbon to the other end like a belly band rather than sacrifice the diapers with hot glue. ;-) End result is beautiful though! Well done!

I had major knee replacement surgery and was on painkillers and recovering and then in Feb, my younger brother passed away from cancer...so last year, I just didn't keep up with the channel and comments like I should have...so sorry! Thank you for sharing, I wondered how this was done it's so neat. The filing inside of the diapers contains the substance that expands and turns into a gel holding liquid. Tear the diaper open shake over paper and yôu'll hear the substance fall on it. Thîs can be added tœ sôil to reduce how often you water or can be used for a sôiless mixture īn pots. I just put a piece of cardboard under ribbon and glued ribbon to ribbon. Cooled and removed the cardboard. Didnt have to waste any diapers with glue. Just a little tip. Luv your diaper cake.. great job. .. i luv giving diaper cakes. They are all. so different. Oh ya. Soother or pacifier is the word you are looking for that the baby sucks on. Hahahahaha. thank you ❤️
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. Yes. You are very right in the fact that to glue the ribbon together, you can simply put the hot glue on one end and then overlap the other end. I think that what I was doing was to use a drop of hot glue to secure the ribbon to the diaper so that it would not slip down as you are attaching items. I have found securing the ribbon to the diaper is helpful, however, my daughter and friends who I have made them for, say that the little bead of glue peels right off and does not mess up the diaper. Also, that was my very first attempt and so I was still learning myself :) I have now made three more and learned new tips and tricks with each one :)

Glue ribbon to ribbon not to the diaper.
You don't have to sacrifice 3 diapers. Just wind the ribbon around the cake and glue the ribbon together not on the diaper

you dont have to glue onto a diaper. you glue one side of the ribbon and overlap the ribbon coming around.

I have made a lot of diapers cakes. Never have glue anything. My cakes have 97 diapers.
